Detective Mack POV
I seemed to be floating above my own body at the hospital. I had no idea what was happening, the last thing I remembered was the car accident. I hadn’t felt any pain so I didn’t think that my injuries were that bad. I couldn’t’ believe that this was the way his life would end. I didn’t tell my lovely wife just how much he loved her. I regretted not telling Madison that he loved her each and every day. I would never be able to see his partner or his adorable niece. I had so many regrets, he was too young to die.
I floated into the ER waiting room and was shocked to see Cheryl, Madison, Sierra and Xavier. Chief Lewis was even there, how weird. He would give anything to be able to hold his family in his arms again, to tell them that he loved them. He missed them so much.
