Lizzy walked around her new room, clearly disturbed. At this point, she needed someone to talk to, probably help her make a decision about the Prince. She didn't understand herself honestly. One minute she hated the Prince and the next minute, she found herself admiring his beauty and scars. Talk about his voice! It just was a satisfaction on its own.
She was fueled with rage when her uncle was killed. She burnt in anger yet again when she was forced to come here and become a maid. It wasn't that she was that close to her uncle, it was just, he was the closest family to her. Growing up, she had no Knowledge of her family. She was told her parents died when she was at a tender age. Her uncle, Jonathan nurtured her since that time. Even though she wasn't that close to him when he was alive, they still got along fine. No matter the terrible things she heard about him, when he was alive, he never changed towards her. He was a nice and caring man, to her. So, it pained her to accept his death.
Now, she didn't know what to do. She was caught between two forces. To admit and give in to her admiration of the Prince, or turn it to hate.
She couldn't do what he asked of her. It was unthinkable. The thought of sharing her body with two different lycan males disgusted her. Even though she knew she was destined a mate, by the lycan goddess, she still hadn't found him and she had hoped that one day, they'll be united and be together.
She bit her lips, watching the sky as it slowly got darker and darker. She knew it was time to go to the Prince, get ready for him but she wasn't doing any of that. Instead, she opened her wide windows and took in a large breath of fresh air.
In their old clan, Lizzy would always go for a run in this type of serene environment but now, she was stuck here for being a maid.
But who would know if she went for a run?
Lizzy wore her shawl and went down the castle. The castle was still populated, with maids running up and down, trying to meet up with their duties. She carefully sneaked out through the leading corridors to the kitchens. She ran a long distance before taking a deep breath, calming her racing heart. She was scared she would be caught, by one of the guards before she approached the Palace gates.
She knew they wouldn't let her leave the Palace walls, so instead, she walked to the western side of the Palace with thick dark trees. She guessed it was for training. This is the Palace of the lycan king and Queen after all.
Reaching there, she stripped out of her clothes before letting her lycan take over. Her tan skin was replaced with a darker hairy shade, her auburn hair became darker and her green eyes became an emerald. She felt the confined chains that held her lycan breaking away, those same chains that she felt, binding her body since she came to this palace.
Lizzy took no time in speeding off, her lycan leaping into motion. The wind gushed over her ears as her speed increased. Her lycan was happy, she was let out, judging by how fast she sped.
How many minutes or hours Lizzy spent inside the forest, she knew not. She doubted anyone would look for her. Not even Cassy. Her new allocated room was far from their quarters.
As the sky grew darker, Lizzy decided to go back to the Castle. She changed into her human form, wore her clothes and retracted her steps back to the Castle.
The castle was quiet. It was probably very late. She realised that she had spent quality time outside. She walked inside the castle through the kitchen. The kitchen was empty, but it was warm, from the stoves. The cooks had retired for the night. Dinner had long been served then.
Lizzy smiled as she approached her room. The Prince had probably slept, she thought. She saw the Golden light that illuminated her room and scrunched her brows. She wondered if she left her candles on. But even if she had, it would have burnt down already, wouldn't it?
She shook her head before opening the doors. She was probably overthinking again. Lizzy stepped into her room before leaning against the door, sighing. She made it without getting caught.
"Where have you been?"
Lizzy startled with a loud gasp. This was the Prince's voice. What was he doing here? Lizzy held her breath as she couldn't speak, out of shock, let alone move. This was certainly not what she expected. Never in a thousand years, would she have believed that Prince Nathaniel would step foot into her room, in search of her.
Lizzy's hands shook, in fear and excitement? Her heart beat eratically in her chest. She was too excited to answer him.
Why did he affect her this much?
She knew he was sitting on the bed, facing the door. Her eyes itched to look at him, but she was too scared, her body would disobey her mind and follow her heart instead.
The bed screeched in protest as the Prince stood up from the bed and approached her. His loud footsteps assaulting the hard floor. He only stopped when he came close to her..too close. Lizzy could scent his smell and oh, how she bit her lips to resist moaning. It took a lot of will power for her to maintain her stance and not throw herself at him at that moment.
The Prince took another step closer, till their noses almost touched. Lizzy squeezed her eyes shut. She wouldn't let her eyes betray her. She was sure he would be able to see right through her and know how her body wanted him.
But the Prince wasn't to be deterred. He used his forefinger and lifted her face, allowing her to connect with his eyes.
Everything stopped revolving around her. The only thing she could see was a deep blue sea full of unknown things. This was all so intimate and...uncomfortable. Lizzy turned her gaze elsewhere, to steam off a bit from the built up tension that was happening but that only made the Prince groan, before he placed his forehead on hers and gripped her chin, making her stand firm and gaze only at him.
Lizzy felt her knees getting weaker and weaker by each second. She wasn't this weak. How could she, let this vile man do all these to her? But her mind wasn't listening, it was too busy enjoying the sensations that passed through her spine.
"You have been running." The Prince whispered into Lizzy's neck. Lizzy bit down on her tongue, controlling the call of pleasure that ringed at her. The Prince knew what he was doing, whispering and breathing down her neck? At this ungodly hour? He wasn't even touching her yet! The only parts of their bodies that touched was their foreheads but Lizzy was a mess already.
Lizzy didn't know what to reply. She couldn't even open her mouth properly. She was scared to, lest she moaned out loud.
"Hmm?"
The Prince was expecting an answer. An answer that Lizzy couldn't provide.
"Yes."
Lizzy couldn't believe that was her voice. She sounded so breathless and needy to her ears. But it was still better than moaning out loud directly to the ears of the arrogant Prince.
"I see."
The Prince shifted his concentration from her neck before bending his head low, fanning her exposed chest, in between her breasts.
Oh good lord. Lizzy almost screamed. Feeling the Prince's breath and gaze on her chest was an indescribable feeling. But she was strong, so she took the pleasure quietly and masked her eyes with pretense.
"You didn't report to my chambers."
Immediately the Prince stated that, he left her side quickly as though her skin burned him. Lizzy was confused. One minute he was sweet and dovey and the next minute, he was being distant.
"I apologise, my Prince."
He paid no heed to her apology. To him, it made no sense to him. It wasn't what he needed. What he wanted was a warm woman, warm and soft enough to warm his bed, sweet enough to make him high and strong enough to take the roughness of his lycan.
He couldn't see all the other females taking him well, like he visualised on this one. He had a good feeling, that she was molded for him after his mate. Her definite features and elegance was all in the right amount to satisfy his interest. She was the one he wanted. Only her at this particular moment.
He was annoyed that she wasn't giving in already. He expected her to happily spread her legs for him but yet again, a lady with such elegance wouldn't just take anyone to her bed, especially when she believed she had a mate.
He wasn't trying to make her disobey her principles. Clearly, she had a lot of them. He admired the fact that she was loyal, to a male she hadn't yet met. That warmed his heart.
But he just has to be selfish a tad bit. She, was what he wanted, mated or not.
"I need no apologies."
His voice was hard, harsher than what he intended. He felt her wince at his tone. But he couldn't apologise for that.
"I apologise, my Prince."
Her voice sounded so soft and breathless. This made him desire her more. He wanted her breathless as she begged him for more pleasure. Living this long without a mate was torturous. Very painful. All he craved for was a woman..desperately.
"Then..show me how sorry you are "
Lizzy felt her panties cream at his words. She felt warm liquid seep out of her being. How was it possible that he affected her so, without a touch. Just words?
Lizzy bent her head low, enjoying the pleasure she was getting. Lizzy could hear the prince grinding his teeth. She knew he was exercising control from touching her. Lizzy doubted he smelt her arousal, but being a strong lycan prince, it was highly possible he did.
The Prince walked around the room, his hands fisted at his sides, as if maximising control. Lizzy could see his veins bulging. Was this how much he desired her? Lizzy found that hard to believe! For just a person he met a few weeks ago, he was already desiring her?
"Goodnight."
The Prince whispered before making his way towards the door. Lizzy upon seeing him approach, moved away giving him enough space to exit. As soon as the Prince violently opened the door, his guard appeared by his side. How didn't lizzy notice him before then?
She watched as the Prince walked away. A part of her desperately wanted to run after him and allow him to have his way with her. Another part just wanted to drive a knife through his heart, for causing her pain, killing her uncle, making her a slave, and most of all, making her desire him. But she couldn't do all these. She was on the fence, undecided. She didn't know which way to go or what to do. She wasn't even sure about her feelings for it yet. And worst of all, she knew she couldn't talk to anyone. Or maybe she could talk to Cassy?
Lizzy was uneasy. She wanted things she was too scared to admit. She decided to take a cold bath, to calm her heart and desires that were all over the place. Sure enough, there was a bucket of cold water by the tub and she wasted no time, slipping inside and relieving herself.
The water was just the right amount of coldness she needed to become normal again, but no matter how normal she was, she couldn't forget how she felt when the Prince breached her every being of privacy. She had never felt that way before. She had never been approached by a male. So these were all new to her. And thinking of the forbidden things he wanted to do to her, made her crave for it.
But she had hope in herself. She would surely resist his dominance.
But the question is, for how long would she be able to resist what has long been written?
