……… Sir I have taken Ms Lisa to her home and seen her safely inside. Will there be anything else before I turn in for the evening?
Joe looks at Ezra his most trusted employee and says in a low voice “ There is something about that girl that draws me to her. I don’t know what it is but I want to be near her all the time but the moment I am I feel the urge to take her and make her mine far away from here” Joe let’s out a small growl and Ezra sees his fangs slowly begin to slide down from his lips and then almost instantly his face returns to normal. Joe! Ezra raises his voice just a bit to get his attention. “You have to be careful with her. She is not like us nor does she know who you are or where you are from. I think it’s best to slow down and try to at least act human for now. Joe doesn’t respond to Ezras comment he stays silent. Meanwhile Ezra walks away to settle into his room for the evening. Who is he is kidding does he think she will never find out what he is? Pfft if he keeps that attitude up he won’t have the chance to act normal with her because he will scare her off! I can’t believe after a thousand years he still has not learned to control himself when we are around humans. Maybe it is time we travel back to our home and take a break from such activities.
Joe still sitting by the fireplace lost in thought stands up and walks back and forth in front of a bookcase. Holding his chin and staring at his feet he leaps forward and turns a knob on the mantle and the book case slowly opens. He steps into the darkness and the door closes behind him. He slowly disappears.
