Prologue
His prey was lying on the cold ground, trying to catch her breaths after the brutal beating. Her whole body is filled with wounds and bruises covered with her warm blood. She is writhing in pain waiting for the hunter to kill her finally and stop her suffering. The hunter didn't want it. He isn't ready yet to finish his brutal games with his little prey. He wants her to suffer a little longer. He wants her feel this pain a little more until she give in and tell him everything he wants to hear. The hunter approached her. He bent a little taking a fistful of her hair and slowly making her stand. But she is not able to stand on her own. Her whole body is aching. Her knees are trembling as she got up on her feet wants to lay down again. Blood is dripping from her nose and lips. There cut marks on her face from the punches. She watched the hunter with her slightly opened eyes. Tears are flowing from them. "Please" she whispered, begging him to let her go. For a second he felt something inside him melting seeing her in pain but he shrugged this feeling away in another second and suddenly yanked her with the force like he'll tear her scalp from her skull. Her had snapped back. He looked into her pleading eyes. His eyes cold as ice and there was no remorse in there. "who asked you to steal those files?" He growled at her. His voice filled with anger and disgust. "I-I didn't.... s-steal.... a-any...thing." she whimper hardly able to make out the words from her mouth. His grip tighten on her hair and he punched on her stomach. She puked the blood. The blood spread all over her lips and chin. Another punch came on the same spot and she puked more blood. She felt as if her belly is going to torn apart. He let go of her hair and she fell on the ground unconscious again unable to hold herself anymore. The hunter let out a frustrating grunt and kicked hard on her thighs. She didn't move and He get out of the room and asked the guards to tie her again with the shackles.
Entering in his room he screamed with frustration not understanding the feeling he felt for a moment. His room was dark. There was a small bed on one side and a study table beside the table. There's also a small table and two chairs on the other side of the bed probably for having a meal. Near the small closet there is a wooden shelf giving the feel of his own personal library. He let out a sigh. He saw something in those brown orbs, innocently pleading him to trust her words. He kicked the bean bag which was lazily placed in the middle of the room and sat on it. He never felt that way for other criminals and some of them were women as well. But this girl, there is something with her which makes him restless. Is it her innocence or her pretence to be innocent. He thought. After all this while she's still denying the charges on her and kept saying she didn't know anything Is there something I overlooked. He asked himself while crushing the bean bag with his weight.
