A Leap In The Past ... 1999

I was just a kid ... 6 years old, to be exact. It all happened so fast. She walked me towards my room, which I found strange; I mean, can you blame me? ... Mom never entered my room. We had an average house, not too big and not too small, with an open kitchen leading to the living room, five bedrooms, and two bathrooms. One out of the five bedrooms was the attic.  My habitat's located on the 1st floor straight across from Mom's, so there was no possible way that she wasn't able to hear me scream, and I am certain that even the neighbors that were situated a mile away heard my cry. Mom was never a people's person, which was honestly sad.  Today's a new day. I have aged 11 years (17 years old). It's 5 a.m., I'm seated upon my queen size bed as I watch the sunrise forming tropical colors in the sky; it could never be compared to the night sky, but what I find amazing is that the moon is never alone; the shining fiery stars always accompany it. I've been homeschooled for most of my life, friends? Don't even ask. As I said before, mom was never fond of people.  At the age of 13, I started wondering what it was like being surrounded by students my age, it took a lot of convincing, but it was worth it in the end. Can you believe she didn't even have a husband? No male figures were always her motto, and as for me, sperm donor. Anyways, it's my first day in an actual school, and I can't wait to be on the other side of these brick walls! I am dark-skinned, but the lack of sunlight makes me resemble a mythical creature. To be more specific, a vampire. I also have thick hair, but it's manageable, brown eyes though I wish they were blue, and... "PEGAS ... HONEY COME DOWNSTAIRS!" And here's Mom calling on me. Did I forget to mention my name? No, I did not. Mom named me based on a species in a tv show that she so adored, Pegasus. "COMING ... DORIS!" I made sure that the ING rang in Mom's ears. I knew how much she hated when I did that. I've done my needs such as: - Showering - Brushing my teeth - Hair: in a ponytail As for the outfit, I have decided to go casual, don't want to give the wrong impression: - Pink t-shirt - High waist skinny Jeans - High top sneakers No brand, I don't see the purpose. All set for school, I hope I don't screw up on my first day, now THAT would be embarrassing and a day to remember.
