Maya POV We remained silent in the car after persuading Zack to attend church. I had always believed that God would help us in difficult situations, and I prayed for Mrs. Rose's stability and health. Zack, on the other hand, accompanied me and offered to pray with me. His demeanour abruptly changed and he snapped at me, possibly because he was concerned about Mrs. Rose. For him, it's quite difficult. Then we were in the car, driving back to the hospital. I felt at ease and fell asleep; nevertheless, I had another nightmare and mumbled in my sleep. Thankfully, he didn't hear anything. As soon as we arrived at the hospital, I hurriedly exited and made my way to the waiting area. I sat down in the chair, folded my hands, and silently muttered a prayer to God for Mrs. Rose's survival. After that, he entered the waiting area and sat next me. After a few minutes, he fell asleep and rested his head on my shoulder. I shifted uncomfortably on my seat and attempted to take his head from my shoulder, but he whimpers in his sleep, so I sighed and let his head rest on my shoulder. Later, the senior doctor approached us with an ear-to-ear grin. He stated, "Mrs. Rose is awake; she survived the accident." "What are you talking about, seriously?" I asked him cheerfully. "Wake him up, and give Mr. Zack the good news," he said, nodding his head. To wake him awake, I cheerfully nodded my head and shook his body. But nothing occurred to him, so I slowly lowered his head from my shoulders and supported him against the wall. I couldn't wait to see Mrs. Rose, so I walked over to the ICU room's glass window and saw her responding to the doctor's questions with a happy heart. I sauntered over to Zack and poked him on the arm, mumbling,"Sir,Sir," but he didn't wake up. This time I forcibly poked him on the arm and raised my whisper,"Sir,Sir," said to his ear. Then, as he awoke, his eyes squished together. I breathed a sigh of relief, but before I could tell him the news, he snarled, "What?" with eyes that are only half open "Mrs. Rose was awake, and the physicians had called you," I added softly. He rose up from his seat and asked me again. He hugged me in joy after I informed him. I stood there, taken aback by his hug, yet his touch skipped my heartbeat and gulped my uneasiness. Then he let go of my grip on me. "I'm going into the ICU room to greet mum," he exclaimed, excitedly. I couldn't say anything after the embarrassment, so I responded with a nod. He then entered the ICU room. I gathered myself from the embarrassment and walked up to the glass mirror to check them out. Despite the fact that I left my family and entered this foreign world, I still miss my family and mother. It's such a paradox that I despise and miss such folks at the same time. My childhood memories of my mother always bring me joy, and whenever I see Mrs. Rose and Zack, they remind me of our inseparable tie of love. They accurately express the distinction between love and hate. Mrs. Rose hugged Zack, and despite the fact that he is an arrogant and rude guy, I have never seen him misbehave with her. He treats her as if she is a queen, and he is a small boy to her. I wished that nothing could ever harm their relationship. He emerged from the ICU room and stood alongside me after she had fallen asleep. From the glass window, we were both silently looking at her. "Sir, you are extremely fortunate to have her as a mother in your life," I said, my voice shaking, for I wanted I could have her as a mother, but it was my bad luck that my own mother did not love me. Tears welled up in my eyes as he averted his attention from me, and my phone abruptly rang, displaying the unknown number caller ID. I excused myself and walked to the waiting room's far corner, where I answered the phone and cleared my throat "Hello there! Who is this person? "What are your thoughts on this? "Stay away from Zack Reynold," he said, and I was perplexed. "Who is this?" I inquired. "There will be no warning next time, sweetheart." "But what did I do?" said the caller, before hanging up. Who was this person, and why did he warn me not to approach Zack? I brushed it aside and stuffed it inside my bag pocket. I returned to the waiting area, where Zack sauntered over and said, "Now that Mom is stable, I believe you should come home and rest." "However, sir, she may require assistance," I stated calmly, requesting assistance. "There are nurses here, and it's an order you should go home," he continued, his eyes fastened to mine. He furrowed his brows before I could say anything else. I exhaled deeply and agreed with a nod of my head. He hummed and reached into his side pocket for his phone, which he dialled. "Drop Miss Maya securely to her house," he replied sternly. "My chauffeur would drop you off at your house, and you could meet mom tomorrow," he stated as he hung up the phone. I was startled to learn that he had no reservations about meeting with Mrs. Rose. I gave a modest smile and a curt nod. I eventually got out of the hospital and returned to my apartment. It had already been 7 a.m. for some time. So I brushed my teeth and had a chilly shower. I changed into my Khaki Kurti and pyjamas after that. I then exited my room and began preparing breakfast for Amber and myself. A dish of scrambled eggs, slices of toast, and two mugs of tea were delivered to Amber's room. "Good morning, Amber," I answered cheerfully. She looked at me as she carefully removed her pillow from her eyes. With a huff, she sat with two pillows over her face. I chuckled at the fact that she was upset with me. "Amber, get up," I cooed. She shushed me and said, "No, get away." Regardless, I knelt down and placed the dish on her side desk before snatching the cushion from her grip. Her juvenile behaviour made me giggle. Nonetheless, she stood up and sat with her legs crossed, huffing. "Come on, get up and brush your teeth first. After that, have your meal "I locked my gaze on her. She pouted and huffed in a humorous manner. I sighed and motioned her to the restroom. She let out a sigh and entered the restroom. After a few moments, I sat on the bed with my legs crossed. Then we began to have our breakfast. Because she couldn't control her lips, I'm sure she'd ask me a lot of questions. "Why were you in the hospital last night, with whom, and why did you snap at me," she replied quickly, her brows knotted. Then I took a big breath and told her everything in detail so that she wouldn't ask me the same questions again in the future. "You won't have a job now as personal assistant because Mrs. Rose is injured, and it's possible that his son will manage everything from now on," she remarked after patiently listening and mouthing "O." "I don't know," I answered, shaking my head, "but I'll go meet her once." We sat down on her bed after she responded with a nod.
