Live 17: Rhapsody First APEX Champion

Rhapsody sticks close to Maya021 like a moth, while Ten10 walks ahead of them to scout the area. Ten10 likes to play as a scout character, he wants to know the players around his area for safety measures, he admits that he likes playing the drone man, which is Crypto. 

Maya021 is playing as an aggressive character, Wraith is his first choice due to her ability to enter a battle and escape the battle with her teleportation ability. Ten10 looks at the compass above the screen, he tells the two players to watch out at Northwest 08 radius, since he spots someone battling in the middle of the city.

Maya021 scopes the enemy from afar as he aims at the two squads’ battle between them, he just took a triple take from a care package that arrived from the sky. It descended and Ten10 tells Maya021 to take it since he doesn’t fancy a long-ranged weapon.

“Rhapsody is still new here, right?” Ten10 types in the game chat. “Looks like you have the guts to play in a team fight, shotgun fits your playstyle isn’t it?”.

“Yes, it’s easier to aim with a shotgun” she nods. “Sorry if I’m not good at playing this”.

Rhapsody voiced her concern in the game chat, feeling somewhat frail and left out from the pros. She knows the consequences of playing a battle royale game such as APEX, judging from gameplay it is harder than any battle royale game she ever knows. Kano is a diehard APEX player, she finds herself fascinated with Kano’s dedication in playing these competitive games.

“The other squad is low on health, the one inside the tall building” Maya021 types on the in-game chat. “We can ambush them after the other team ambushes them, we will act as a third party”.

“Sounds like a good plan” Ten10 agrees. “I’ll use my drone to tell their location, I have my Ult ready to use! You can charge in with my assault rifle, let’s switch weapons”.

The two parties decided to switch their ammo along with their weapons, Ten10 will back them up while Rhapsody and Maya 021 will be the ones who are ambushing the building. Rhapsody plays as an aggressive character with the name Bangalore, it can use Air Missile from above to stun and slow the enemy with her ultimate.

Her skills include smoke bombs that can cause ten damage if it hits the target, Rhapsody goes through the building when Crypto deployed his throne at the spot with his ultimate ready. His ultimate skill can sever people’s armors. He signals the two to invade the building as the ultimate undergoes.

Maya021 goes in first as he looks at the confused players on the second floor. He goes upstairs and shot the two players who are present in front of him. Rhapsody follows Maya021 and backs him up with her damage, even if it’s just a few numbers. They haven’t killed the last member, who is still hiding in the building.

“I can’t see the third one” Ten10 complains in the chat. “He must have gone upstairs since my drone range can’t reach the top floor”.

Before he could comment again, Ten10 got shot on his shoulder, depleting his HP around seventy-five percent. It was a sniper shot from a Sentinel weapon, he seemingly doesn’t anticipate being sniped by someone from on top of the building. Rhapsody panics and asks if he’s alright.

“I’m fine, it’s just a scratch” he comments. “The enemy is on top of the building! Maya021 go get him! I’ll hide behind the rocks first! He’s targeting me because I’m a recon character!”.

Maya021 goes upstairs and finds the third member is taking his sniping position to hurt Ten10. As if he’s ready to be ambushed, the third member switches to assault riffle fasts as he strikes Maya021 with his great aim. Maya021 dodge it with his teleportation ability to rush to safety, Rhapsody charges in with her shotgun and fires his head up close.

After being hit by a shotgun, Rhapsody yells with her might as she gunned him down to the ground. She hits the E button on her keyboard to perform a finisher move that could increase his armor meter to the max. She looks at her prey satisfyingly, it is not her first kill but she felt as if she becomes useful.

“Good job everyone, now let me come to your place” Ten10 rushes over to the building. “I need a medkit please”.

“So do I, come here” Maya021 commented. “It wasn’t as tough as I thought”.

Ten10 rushes to the abandoned building, passing through the deceased body along with the death box where they keep their valuables. The sniper man searches for a medkit in the strangers’ death boxes, Maya021 does the same as he looks for health packs to recover his lost HP.

Rhapsody had fun playing with the two strangers who offer their help to Rhapsody, instead of mocking her skills like the rest of APEX players. The three go through an arduous journey, moving from the city area to an iceberg area because the circle becomes smaller and smaller as time passed by.

The battle royale had a rule that every player had to abide by, the area will become smaller following the circle area. It happens that the circle ends up in the iceberg area, the reddish area outside the circle will continuously damage the players. The smaller the circle area is, the greater the damage outside the circle area is.

It was made that way so that the battle royale can end quickly, gathering around the remaining players in a small area in the middle. Maya021 and Ten10 are the ones who mostly do the work, Rhapsody backs them up with smoke bombs. Even if the smoke bombs can blind them as well, it can’t be helped that Rhapsody just recently play the games.

She has yet to understand APEX  game mechanics and the abilities that each character has. The trio ventures into the iceberg area, meeting the other two remaining teams. They’re already top ten teams so far, they’re the third team to arrive on the spot. The other teams are still having a war against each other, shooting each other like mad.

Maya021 and Ten10 walk first, treading lightly behind them as they wait for their fight to be over. It’s quite hard to hide their presence now that they are becoming smaller, they’re hiding inside a building in the middle of the iceberg while the teams are fighting behind the building, not noticing their presence.

The gunshots and the sound of people dying alert the trio that the war between them soon will end. They only need to kill one more person to secure the other party’s victory. Ten10 sends his drone to see the situation without being detected, if he gets too close the enemies might get a notification of his drone.

It would be horrendous if his drone is out of commission because the enemies shoot at it. He watches from a distance, patiently looking at the one member who struggles to revive his teammates. In the end, the other team won but their health bar has depleted a lot due to their fight from before. 

Maya021 ambushes them after he receives a confirmation from Ten10, it was an all-out attack from Maya 021 with his straight aim defeat them at the same time. It was obvious that Maya021 is an experienced APEX player. Rhapsody won her first APEX match for the first time, she couldn’t help but scream tears of joy. 

It was a hard game, to begin with, and she’s proud to be able to finish as the champion of APEX games. She needs to practice harder with Kani next time, she can’t wait to play with Kani on Saturday. Rhapsody beams as she celebrates her first victory with a cheer, her fans clap their hand for her.

“Rhapsody did well on her first try! She’s not afraid of bullets!” one of the fans commented. “Good job, Rhapsody!”.

She stretches her arm upwards as she exits the gaming watch with the strangers. Maya021 congratulates the others, so is Ten10. They add a friend request to Rhapsody afterward, it was a pleasing experience for the three of them. Rhapsody glads that she can meet these friendly players who teach her how to play APEX.

“I’m stepping closer to Kano! I will make Kano notice my skill in APEX, he will be in awe when he sees me doing this to impress him!” Jury smiles dreamingly.

Jury finishes her stream with a bang, her fans are happy for her first Champion place in APEX. However, her work is far from done; she needs to do her client’s request. She finishes the logo, but she needs a slogan to invite the customers to his new rebrand cafe. 

She wonders if she will be able to do the job well, her tiny heart falters quite a bit from the rebranding job.
