“You’re such a noob! You can’t play that game with that kind of skill!” Kevin commented in the red super chat as Maya021.

It ticks her off, but since he sends money for her thus she doesn’t respond to him immediately. Rhapsody keeps on playing APEX despite her inadequate skills, even so, she looks happy playing it. Kevin was about to comment something to tease her, but after he sees her joyful expression; he stops typing on the keyboard.

He sees her up and down as she learns a new skill every time she plays APEX. Rhapsody never ends up in top ten squads, but she’s enjoying her time playing APEX. Kevin doesn’t want to dishearten her gaming experiences with his teasing, he thinks the girl had enough teasing for today.

Kevin decides to play APEX as well, he stretches his arm upwards as he looks at his schedule for today on his cellphone calendar. There’s no class for today, thus the man is free to do whatever he likes. He’s heading outside, saying goodbye to his uncle and aunt while asking their permission to borrow their motorcycle.

He rides his motorcycle to the internet cafe near his house he always pays visits to. Glory Internet Cafe, the interior of the internet cafe is neat and clean. The grey wall looks fresh and exclusive, the black carpet smells nice since the staff of the internet cafe pays attention to the internet cafe’s cleanliness, it’s also why Kevin likes Glory Internet cafe due to its tidiness.

Kevin doesn’t waste his time, he immediately pays for five hours amount of playing APEX. Kevin’s eyes then glance at the seat in the internet cafe, trying to find his favorite spot. The cashier notices his anxiety, the man at the cashier knows well where’s his favorite spot is.

“Don’t worry, your spot is still empty! It’s on the second floor, right? The VIP room” he chuckles. 

“You know me well” Kevin grins. “I’ll be taking my leave to the second floor, Arya”.

Kevin waves his hand to Arya who stands behind the counter, he’s still looking at YouTube for any sign of Rhapsody Livestream. He wants to play with Rhapsody, timing his battle royale team with Rhapsody. He arrives on the second floor, his eyes wander to the room near the windowsill.

It’s the VIP room he always uses to play APEX, he goes straight into the room and logs into his PC. He looks at Rhapsody’s Livestream as he waits for her to finish her talks. She then starts matching the match as she waits, Kevin does the same at the same time so that she can get a match with Rhapsody.

The chance of them teaming up is low, but he doesn’t mind meeting her as an enemy as well. However, he immediately widens his eyes when he sees the username ‘RHAPSODY_SPY’ right next to his player. Kevin yells immediately when he knows that it was indeed him right next to the Vtuber Rhapsody.

His idol speaks as they launch from the aircraft from the sky about her experience playing APEX, she is enthralled with the epic moving transition and action-packed FPS shooting game. She doesn’t notice that the name ‘Maya021’ is right next to her avatar, she keeps spouting of her skill.

“I know I’m not the best in this game” she sighs heavily. “Please bear with me everyone, I am a perfectionist! I will try to get better in this game”.

Her tone is stuttering quite a bit, she tries to add a bit of confidence but fails to do so. It is as if she reaches her limit after several loss streaks she suffers. Kevin decides not to tease her anymore, since it’s a trio squad the other one already move ahead of the two staggering avatars on the open field.

“Rhapsody, are you that Livestreamer Rhapsody?” Kevin types on the game chat in concern as she notices the sad tone coming from Rhapsody’s voice. 

Rhapsody finally notices the familiar name, her joyful expression immediately changes into bitterness. She tries to smile and greet him, fully aware of the disheartening chat he spams on her sometimes. However, Kevin doesn’t want to make her sad anymore. Kevin searches for a weapon and armor before her.

“Oh he left, I should search for my weapons” she lost her concentration for a bit. “I wonder what’s the next weapon I will-”.

Before she could finish her words, Kevin hands her a Volt SMG he found in the tray bin along with the energy ammo. Kevin has Mastiff shotgun and RE-45 which is a burst handgun, he could have used Volt but Kevin wants Rhapsody to be happy. 

“Sorry for teasing you in the chat” Kevin apologizes through the game chat. “I’ll help you in this game, so don’t be sad”.

Rhapsody is a bit moved from Kevin’s apology, she opens her mic and says her heartfelt ‘thank you to Kevin. The young man blushes shyly when she thanked him, he pulls out the gaming headphone from the internet cafe as she inhales and exhales in panic. His idol just thanked him, he bursts into happiness.

“I can teach you how to play this game” he types on the game chat. “So watch me closely”.

The third player already goes ahead, ignoring the two lovebirds who talk to each other. It seems the random stranger feels uncomfortable seeing the two actings familiar with each other, he doesn’t seem to know that Rhapsody is a famous person as well. However, the stranger seems to notice Rhapsody’s distress.

“Can I help as well?” the stranger asks the two. “Are you alright? Is this your first time playing APEX?”.

The third player returns to them and asks them to follow him, the three of them are somewhat building positive feedbacks with each other skills growth as they face many enemies on their way. Kevin is mostly acting as the vanguard while the third player acts as a defender. His name is Ten10, a classic anime name.

“Alright, let’s start climbing to the top, Rhapsody” Kevin smirks.
