Live 15: APEX Rhapsody!

Morning has come for Jury Crawford, she starts her days with a light breakfast. She walks sleepily from her bedroom, wearing her blue pajamas as she sits on the dining chair with a box of cereal and milk from the refrigerator. It was eight in the morning, her father already left a message on the dining table with bountiful money to spend for her lunch.

“Use the money for lunch, I’ll be heading out for work,” the note said with a smile. “Take care now”.

Jury picks the money from the marble table, she puts the money on her working desk then proceeds to undo her clothing. No one is in the apartment so she can walk naked in the apartment freely. She picks random clothes from her wardrobe, a dress for her to work through the day.

She enters the bathroom, letting the warm shower hits her body.

“Ah, it hits the spot” she exhales calmly.

Washing her body thoroughly, she feels the gushing water hit her perfect spots. After half an hour, she decides to come out with a towel on her hair. She wipes her hair slowly, drying it quickly since she’s impatient. Wearing the sunny white dress, she dries her hair with the hairdryer meticulously.

After drying her hair, she goes to her room to stream as Rhapsody. She fixes her setup along with her Livestream. Since APEX is on the rage, she needs to install APEX on her laptop for a bit. While waiting for the installation, she works on her project as a graphic designer.

She made a Maple leaf as the background of the Good Cup, adding the autumn element from the furniture of their cafes. Jury smiles at the logo she just designed, it reflects the cafe’s vibe so well. She’s certain that the client will like it, after all, she can imagine what kind of dork her client is.

She just received a goofy email from her client about his excitement, it was unrelated to the job so she just replies with a simple ‘Ok, got it. Even so, she secretly laughs at the client’s blunders, it’s a satisfying email to read. The sender is a klutz, she loves seeing how panicked he sounds from the email.

“I should respond to him and say it’s alright” she chuckles as she typed on the email.

After she responded to the email, her installation finished rather quickly. She finally can play APEX. However, she is uncertain about the wifi quality of the apartment, they borrowed it from her father’s colleague. It was compensation he could have given for the wrong booking order at least, it was his biggest mistake.

Especially that Julius didn’t hold his punches when it comes to complaints, he will do so honestly without any restraint even if it’s his friend. Jury’s bluntness seems to derive from Julius’s bluntness with his wife, they’re both honest and straightforward. However, her mother is more critical and severe with her wording.

She starts her Livestream with a warm welcome on her end, becoming the gamer maid persona which is Rhapsody. Rhapsody’s avatar shows on the right corner of the laptop screen, she smiles happily at the audience. Warmth engulfed the chat, super chat rain on her stream as she starts playing APEX.

“Hello everyone! Rhapsody here, entering the game!” she fist bumps the air. “APEX has been around for a while, and I think it’s my time to try the game that everyone loves so much”.

A chat then grabs her attention, it’s the same user who likes to nag on her gaming skill. Maya021 is commenting on her skill as a gamer and how clumsy she can be to play an AAA game like APEX.

“Are you serious you’re going to play APEX? LOL” Maya021 commented on the chat. “I don’t think you can last longer on the battlefield”.

Jury ignores the negative comments and uses a random character to play the shooting battle royale game.

It was as she expected and Maya021 predicted, her sense of direction is poor. Moreover, her aim is poor and she can’t help her teammates battle. She curses sporadically as she lost her aim and died on the battlefield.

Rhapsody was then called ‘noob’ by her teammates as they exit the lobby, she was in rage when she got called out by that. It shows on her avatar expression, but she can’t say anything back toward them. It was true, she was just a beginner who’s interested in APEX at that point. Some of her followers encourage her and tell her to ignore the negative feedback.

Well, the others are mocking her FPS skill and lack of surroundings. It was a humiliation for a perfectionist such as Jury. It’s still a few more days until she plays with Kani, she needs to hone her skills until then. As a gamer, he pride stands on the line as she plays a more solo squad with a bunch of strangers.

She detests the negative feedbacks but she yells back at them, hence fiercer than before.

“LOL, she’s at it again” one of the viewers comments with a laughing emoji. “Her rage is seeping through her tone, even though she says she wanna change”.

“It’s hard for her to change at this point LMAO, it’s ingrained in her blood” another one commented.

Maya021 commented with a nasty smirk at Rhapsody, telling everyone that Rhapsody is a copycat that imitates other popular streamers for the cloud. Jury clenches her fist when she saw that comment, she decided to ignore it as she plays APEX with strangers for a few rounds. She feels joyful despite the lose streak she receives, she felt as if she is Kano.

Kano, her Vtuber Idol is an APEX champion who dominates the arena with his deadly aim and instinct.

“Kano! Wait for me! I will follow your footstep!” Rhapsody whispers as she goes into the battlefield with a Volt SMG. It’s a submachine gun she loves to use, she had a deep connection with it when she used it on the training ground

The super chat rains on the screen of her laptop, red stripes line up like crazy as she plans to put on her next Livestream in APEX.
