Live 20: Gamers Gathering

The match starts with a bang, they dropped into the middle of a battlefield since Kani loves fighting right on the go. He advises her to find more enemies at the early game, drop on the area with most loots to get the upper hand in the battle royale. If she’s overwhelmed by the enemies, she can grab weapons and other necessary items then escape. What matters is that they survive the first round to advance to the next battle royale stage. Kevin’s username is ‘Kankan’, he leads the team using a defensive character with the name Watson. She is capable of trapping the enemies with her electric fence, it’s good for a player who likes tactical strategy. Kevin explains the ability of the character he holds, her ultimate skill is a support one. She will set a device in the middle of the battlefield that could negate other characters’ ultimate that comes in their way, for example, Gibraltar’s missiles and Bangalore’s slow missiles rain. It also could increase the player’s armor durability. These skills of her of course come with weakness, her traps can be wrecked by another player by shooting the base of the fence. Another way to wreck her traps and device is by using Crypto’s ultimate that could decrease the enemies’ armor along with negating traps. He teaches her how to use shield battery items as the man guns down the enemies easily. “Just press the item tab button and use the battery,” he tells her while he uses Volt SMG to shoot the enemies dead. “Have you understand it so far?”. “Oh yes, I know about those batteries” she hums a bit. “I’m just not used to aim, that’s my only problem”. Kevin remembers that Tempesta has never played an FPS game, thus APEX is her first FPS game. It is difficult to play APEX as her first FPS game since it’s more hardcore than any FPS game. Players need to master how to control fluid and smooth movement to avoid enemies shooting and maintain good positioning. Tempesta seemingly nods as she follows him closely like glue, she stutters quite a bit because of her false aim. She was right about being inexperienced in an FPS game, her movement is stiff and she tries her best not to lose her composure. She’s surprised easily if enemies ambushed them, luckily Kani can take care of them for her. After all, Kani which goes with the name Kevin is also a veteran APEX player, playing with Tempesta makes matchmaking somewhat easier since she’s a newbie. “You’ve been quiet all this time,” Kani asks Tempesta who is somewhat different than the usual chatterbox he talked with in Holorealm, confusing him. “What’s wrong?”. They walk side by side, with no enemies to be sighted around so they can chill for a bit while they stroll the snowy area. Tempesta shrugs, saying that she feels somewhat burdened Kani with her incompetence. She apologizes for her inexperience in APEX, ashamed of how she feels that her contribution is insignificant. “Geez, it’s fine” Kevin smiles as he taps the desk of his internet cafe. “You’re still learning, just play for fun Tempesta! Nothing wrong with losing a few matches! You can try again next time”. “Alright then” she sighs heavily. “If you say so Kani, also on a side note we haven’t encountered any enemies yet after our first drop”. The timer is ticking as the red zone closes in, they’re already inside the safe zone hence it’s safe for their squad. Tempesta looks at the third person in their party, he has advanced far from them while they’re talking. The third person plays Gibraltar, a defender-type character that can use his shield dome to protect their squad from enemies. “Let’s follow our stray squad” Kevin chuckles. “In any case, if you already understand the game mechanics then there should be no problem”. Another arduous journey starts, the journey to the center of the circle before the red zone eats their health. She has yet to shoot anyone or assist anyone, she misses her aim all the time due to her inexperienced hands. Kevin gently tells her that it will be alright, he will protect him under his arm. “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you” Kevin smiles when he imagines Tempesta being confused in front of her laptop. “We’re in this together, you had your shotgun and I had my Volt! It’s going to be alright”. “It’s fine, I’ll learn it myself later on” she sounds distressed. “As I said, I don’t want to be a burden for you”. Kevin facepalms yet again, his hands glistening with sweat due to his fast-paced clicking and movement. His sweat is attached to his face now that he facepalmed himself, he finds Tempesta can be quite stubborn when it comes to games. She doesn’t seem to be the type of person who wants to ask for anyone’s help, especially if it’s about games. She’s reluctant to ask Kevin for help, she’s been studying his movement and copies it for her learning process. Kevin notices all of her antics even if she tries to be discreet about it, she’s rather cute for not wanting to admit her weakness. She’s a quick learner but can be impatient at times when they’re attacking enemies. “Oops, anyway stick with me” Kevin looks at the timer on the match. “The circle is getting smaller, there are only four squads left including us”. “We’re in a pinch?” she asks the veteran player. “Not sure about that, Gibraltar doesn’t find anything weird or alert us at least” Kevin shrugs. “And I’ve been scoping the perimeters, no one is here”. “Then maybe they already predicted the location of the center point?” she asks Kevin curiously. “Or maybe they’re still fighting outside the circle?”. Seeing how the death row keeps coming, Kevin believes the latter option. However, the enemies aren’t coming from their side, it seems to be that the three squads are gathering at the same place. The names of the deceased players keep popping out on the right of the screen, kill streaks rain upon the final stage of APEX.
