Sebastian was left speechless as he stared at her. She had the guts to sleep inside his car and also tell him hi.
“I—I’m here for my com–pany. Please,” Jane murmured as she grabbed her bag and tried to scurry out of the car. Placing her low heels on the concrete, she stumbled forward clumsily but quickly steadied herself. Now wasn't the time to make a fool of herself, not knowing she was already a mess.
Sebastian Ashcroft drew back as he studied the woman. Despite her smeared mascara makeup probably from crying, she looked prettier than in the picture. At least the one Louis had shown him in the morning.
“Don't tell me you've been here since then,” he replied, a bit amused at her audacity indeed.
Jane lowered her gaze as the grip on her bag tightened. “Compared to the expense of my company, it's nothing,” she stated. “Please–”
“You're quite adorable for a twenty-four-year-old woman, Jane,” he said with a familiarity she couldn't comprehend.
Standing before him in a well-tailored suit pants and a black dress shirt, paired with a gray coat, he was a sight to behold. Jane hadn't seen him closely and for once, she was flustered by his appearance. Black glossy hair with medium length bangs that fell onto his forehead in thick strands, slightly squinty eyes, thin eyebrows, a well defined cheekbones, small nose and rather plump lips.
“You're staring too much, Miss,” Louis suddenly said, reminding Jane that she wasn't alone.
“Ahem!” She cleared her throat and looked up at him, searching his eyes for answers. But he just stared at her with so much intensity to the extent that she had to move away from his sight.
Louis, Sebastian’s personal assistant's phone rang, breaking the silence and tension in the air.
“Hello,” he answered the call before a frown settled on his face. “Boss, Johan has been throwing up since the morning, the doctor is currently occupied,” he relayed.
Sebastian’s mood instantly changed as he reached for the phone. Louis handed it to him and looked at Jane who was caught in-between.
“Is he having any symptoms of illness?” Sebastian asked the person over the phone.
“Not at all, sir. The doctor had visited this morning, but he saw nothing wrong with him. He even added some laxatives to stop the vomiting, but it seems it's not working,” the man said over the phone.
Sebastian's jaw clenched in worry, not knowing what to do. Johan hated hospitals, so he was assigned a personal doctor.
“He should stop eating and give him water. Little sips though,” Jane murmured from where she was standing. “That's all I know,” she added. There was no way those little problems were going to come in-between her company.
Looking at the woman for some time, Sebastian spoke to the person over the phone. “You heard her. Make sure Johan stops eating,” he said harshly, as if recalling something unpleasant.
“Alright sir,” the voice replied, and the call ended.
Jane's eyes immediately widened in sheer surprise as she stood in front of Sebastian. “Heyy, how could you have followed my suggestions?!” She exclaimed in fear. “What if it didn't go well—”
“Then I'll have to file another lawsuit against you,” Sebastian deadpanned, leaving Jane speechless as she gawked at him.
“Stupid,” she murmured and turned her back to him, childishly throwing tantrums at no one in particular. Saying that to the man whom her company's fate was resting in his hand would only cause more damage.
Sebastian smirked as he beckoned on Louis to fetch him the documents he had prepared. “But sir, it isn't hers—”
“Do I look dumb to you?” He questioned his assistant, who quickly shook his head before hurrying out of the parking lot.
With both of them alone, Sebastian untied his coat as he thought about the post this same woman had made about him. Although she was right, the world didn't have to know if she was wrong or not. “Describe your situation right now, Jane,” he drawled lazily as he leaned against the Audi, hands crossed in front of his chest.
“I'm desperate,” she turned to look at him. “I need my company back! You have no idea how much it cost me to get to where I currently am with no help. Those fat greedy investors only wanted to get into my pants before spending a dime in my company!” She wailed and suddenly gripped his dress shirt. “You have no idea how hard I fought to—”
“What if I want to get into your pants too, will you accept?” he asked as he suddenly changed position, pinning her to the car as he sealed her lips with his.
“Hmm!!whrrhhhh arrrr yyuuuu duuriiingg?” Jane's scream was incoherent as he refused to let her speak, his lips ferociously teethed to hers as his tongue slipped inside her mouth.
Jane's eyes turned wide as saucers as she tried to pull back from his lip, but she wasn't strong enough. He pulled her back to him, tipping her chin so he could get a better taste of her.
Then she made the mistake of taking in air. Sebastian took that as the opening he was looking for and devoured her mouth, a warm cavern as her grip on him tightened. He was kissing her. His touch was burning, yet she didn't feel the slightest repulse from him. But why was he doing this?
Sebastian smiled inwardly as he bit her lips, eliciting a soft gasp from her mouth which made him smile as he drew back a little. Just a little as his lips hovered above hers. “You taste divine,” he smirked and removed his coat.
Jane was left speechless and frozen at the sudden turn of events. She wasn't supposed to kiss anyone who she wasn't dating. Then again, he had kissed her out of the blue.
“What did you just do?!!! You just took my—”
“Anymore from you and I'll devour that mouth for the next five minutes,” Sebastian muttered as he draped the coat on Jane, who immediately shut up. Her face turned shades of red at the thought of it.
Louis returned with a document and handed it to Sebastian, who gave him a curt nod. “My kids are having a parents' day soon. Next month to be precise. If you want your company back, Jane darling, then you just have to accept my terms,” he drawled mischievously as he licked his lips, as if reminding her of what they just shared.
“Which are?” she asked.
Sebastian gave her the document as he leaned further. “Take care of my kids for thirty days.”
