Jane Doe
BILLIONAIRE SCANDAL!!!
*Tech billionaire, Sebastian Ashcroft, sighted with two illegitimate kids at The Grove on Sunday, 15th of March.*

Jane sashayed into her company, a four storey building with the name, JANE PUBLISHING COMPANY at the top, written in bold fonts. At age twenty-four, she has become one of the youngest self-made established CEOs in Los Angeles with three brand endorsements to her name. She had also won two awards in two years consecutively. An award for the best publishing magazine in LA and another as the most influential blogger.
Hair pulled into a tight bun with some fringes falling to her face, Jane was dressed up in a black fitted suit pants and white dress shirt, accentuating her curves. Her designer bag held with grace and elegance as she stepped out of the elevator into her workfloor.
As though the heavens wasn't smiling at her that morning, the workfloor was surprisingly quiet which was a rare sight. Before she could question one of her employees, a young woman in a suit , skirt and jacket marched out of Jane’s office.
“Goodness! You're late!” She snapped at Jane who immediately handed her over her bag.
“Of course I am,” she replied and walked a few steps before turning back to look at her assistant. All traces of sassiness gone as she frowned, her perfectly plucked eyebrows furrowing in question. “Did something happen on my behalf?” she questioned, her inner-self becoming worried as no one was smiling at her.
The assistant nodded grimly. “Yes ma'am. You should check your computer. There's an email from Sebastian Ashcroft,” Mabel relayed loyally to her boss.
Jane scoffed in surprise. “Sebastian Ashcroft? Oh please,” she waved her hand, “don't tell me he wants to get the post unpublished,” she chuckled under her breath and sauntered inside her office. A small but modern space with pure white walls and polished marble floor.
At the left side of her desk was a white shelf which was filled with magazines. At the top were the two awards and some medals she had won the previous year.
Mabel pulled the blind as Jane took her seat and quickly logged in to her computer. Even though she acted like she wasn't affected, deep down, she was jittery on her nerves. Sebastian Ashcroft wasn't a man to be toyed with.
“Mabel, please leave me,” she breathed, a sweet smile on her face as she beckoned on the girl to leave. The moment the door was shut from the outside, the smile on Jane's face vanished.
She quickly proceeded to read the email sent by Sebastian Ashcroft himself. The post she had made about him was out of impulse.
Jane had gone to the Grove with her niece on that day when she caught sight of the man who people barely saw. Although he was dressed in casual clothes with a baseball cap over his head, she couldn't mistake that figure and the rumored two kids with him.
Opening the content, Jane's heart dropped to her stomach as she stared at the most shocking news of her life. It was a document of transfer deeds of Jane’s publishing company to Sebastian Ashcroft and a lawsuit.
She blinked, fear numbing her senses as she reread the details written in the document. “....the transfer of the property from Jane Doe to Sebastian Ashcroft as the current and rightful owner by law,” she read it out loudly and immediately stood up from her swivel chair.
“Mabel!!” Jane yelled hysterically as realization dawned on her.
Mabel entered the office, feeling rather pompous and happy when she saw Jane's pale face. “Yes ma'am,” she answered in mockery.
Jane felt her world crumble to dust as she stared wide-eyed at the scene before her. “What did you do?” She questioned, her heart thudding in her ears as she refused to believe what her eyes were seeing.
“I sold out the company ma'am. It no longer exists,” Mabel replied boldly and gave Jane a mocking bow. “I've always wanted to see that savvy expression fall off your face, Jane. It was nice working with you,” she replied with a smirk and exited the office.
Jane’s teeth chattered in fear, disbelief, pain, confusion. Did her assistant just sell out her company? She rushed out of her office like a mad woman and the scene that she met almost suffocated her.
Everyone was packing up their things into cardboard boxes gloomingly, not once sparing her a look as they walked out of the floor.
“Mabel? How could you? HOW COULD YOU!!!” Jane screamed as tears stung her eyes. She marched towards Mabel, slapping her hard across the face. “I trusted you!” She yelled as her body shook. “You sold out the company just for what? Pennies?”
Mabel wiped her bloodstained lips and smiled. “Fifty million dollars.” She replied and stepped out of the workfloor.
Jane just stood there, her face a striking white, paired with red eyes. This wasn't happening was it? It wasn't. It was just a post. She could undo it. Without further ado, Jane quickly rushed back to her office, logging into her social media account, it only showed her a wrong password warning. “What?”
Then her phone rang loudly in her bag. With a crazed movement, she fetched it and immediately answered the call, not caring to check the username.
“Who's on the line please?” She tried to sound composed even when her will to hold on to hope shattered.
There was silence on the other end before a deep masculine voice answered. “I'm sorry but you can't take the post down. Secondly, a lawsuit has been filed against you. Accept and prepare to meet in court, Miss Doe.”
“Wait wait!” She screamed as tears poured out of her eyes. “Please don't hang up. Please,” she cried, begging as though that was the last thing she wanted to hold on to. All her efforts for the past five years; everything she had built from scratch and sweat were no longer hers. In fact, they crumbled to dust right before her eyes.
“Who am I speaking with?” She sobbed, wiping the snort from her nose with her white shirt, she awaited an answer. Tears streaked down her face as she sat on the floor of her o
ffice.
“My bad,” the man commented. “Sebastian Ashcroft.”
