6 "Delivery for a Miss…" The delivery guy studied the address label. "Miss Mason." He lifted his brows at Dad. "She live here?" "Yes," I said, my hand on Dad's arm. "Thank you." I signed and the guy handed me the long rectangular box then left. I headed straight for my room and closed the bedroom door on Dad's curious expression. "Soph?" he called out. "What's that?" "A uniform for the temp job." Man, I was getting deeper and deeper into this mess. Apparently that satisfied him. I heard his footsteps recede and the kitchen chair scrape on the floor tiles.
