The wedding of Reece Kavanagh to Cleo Denny took place beneath a marquis set up on the velvet green lawn in the backyard of the Kavanagh's Serendipity Bend mansion. White roses and lilies spilled out of enormous urns in the corners and on the dais where the couple exchanged vows. Clouds of white organza hid the metal marquis supports and made me feel like I was sitting beneath the sky. There were fewer guests than I'd expected, perhaps only a hundred or so, few of whom I met. Ash had sent a private car to pick me up from my apartment and I'd been driven to the house where the groom and his brothers were getting ready.
