Chapter Four

“Then we can enter,” the figure said. And all together they entered the sorcerer's arena. They faced so many distractions and challenges but they never got tired or wavered. And at last, they saw the origin of the sorcerer's demonic power. A very dark crystal, pulsing with dangerous energy. Derek stepped forward and wanted to destroy it, but he was stopped by the figure. “No,” it said “You can't destroy it. You must purify it.” Derek was looking at the figure confused. “How will I do that?” He asked. “You must use the energy in you to purify it,” the figure said.

"You must hold it close, and let your energy flow into it. Only then will it be cleansed."

Derek took the crystal and held it close to his heart. He closed his eyes, and he felt the energy welling up inside him, and he let it pour into the crystal. The crystal glowed with a pure, white light, and the darkness inside it was dispelled. And in that moment, the sorcerer's power was broken. The sorcerer was furious. His plan had been foiled, and his power was diminished. He knew that he could not take the crystal by force, so he tried a different tactic.

"You think you have won," he said, his voice cold and menacing, "but you have only delayed the inevitable. My power is still strong, and I will return. When I do, your town will be destroyed, and there will be nothing left but ashes."With those words, he disappeared in a cloud of black smoke. The sage and the townspeople were terrified, but they were also determined. They knew that the sorcerer would return, and they had to be ready. The sage took the crystal and went to the highest point in the town. There, Derek called the people together, and spoke to them with a voice of strength and conviction."The sorcerer will return, but we must not despair. We must not be afraid. We have the power of love, and that is stronger than any dark magic. If we stand together, united by our love for each other, we will defeat the sorcerer and protect our town."The people were inspired by his words, and they gathered around him. Together, they raised their voices in a song of love and unity. As they sang, the crystal glowed brighter and brighter, until it was like a beacon of light, shining in the darkness. And as the song grew louder, the sorcerer felt a growing sense of unease. He knew that his power was waning, and he could not stand against the love and strength of the people. With a cry of rage, he disappeared, but before he disappeared, “I will be back,” he said. The townspeople were overjoyed, and they celebrated their victory. Derek knew that they had been tested, but their love and unity had prevailed. Five years had passed since the sorcerer disappeared. The kingdom was still in turmoil because the sorcerer didn't die. He can back ten times stronger. The people were amazed to see him because they thought he was dead. Derek and Alison were confused, they didn't know what to do. The sorcerer told them that he was back to haunt and torment them. The people became really scared, they turned to Derek. Derek too was looking so confused. After the sorcerer said that, he disappeared. Derek went to where the crystal ball was kept, and he saw that it was oozing out the dark energy as before. He took the crystal ball and headed outside. He showed the people and they were surprised to see that it had turned black again. Derek told them not to worry. He said they are going to conquer him once again and this time he won't be able to come back. The people were relieved a little bit. So they asked him for the way out, and he said that he was going to look for the figure that helped them the other day. When the people heard about the figure, they were resting assured that the victory was theirs. Alison offered to follow him, and he agreed. The people offered them words of encouragement and saw them off to the end of the town. Derek and Anna left to look for the figure for the way out. It was dark outside, and the forest was weirdly silent. The breeze was making the leaves make a sound and the shadows danced across the ground. In the distance, a howl was heard disturbing the peace of the forest. Derek and Alison were making their way through the forest, careful to avoid the leaves touching their body so as not to make any sound. They are still on their way to look for the figure.

As they approached a clear place in the forest, they noticed a tiny glow from afar. They approached it, their heart racing in their chest. The glow became bigger as they drew close to it, and they could see that it was a wolf howling in the middle of the cleared forest.

Derek and Alison don't know where to run to. The wolf started moving towards them, they started walking backward. All of a sudden, the wolf stopped moving, Derek and Alison looked at each other confused but they were still terrified. Before the twinkle of an eye, the wolf has transformed into a human. They were surprised but it turned out that it was Peter. They were happy to see him again. Peter told them that the sorcerer knew about all that they were doing. He told them that the sorcerer was ready to go any length to destroy their town. He told them to act fast and find the figure before it was too late. Derek and Alison were dumbstruck, they were just looking at Peter talking. After Peter finished talking, he told them he just disguised himself like he wanted to attack them so that he could inform them about what the sorcerer was up to. Derek and Alison thanked him, and Peter left. On his way, he turned back to a wolf. He looked back for the last time and then he left. Derek and Alison looked at him as he left. The night was still young, so they looked for a place to rest their head till morning.
