I rested on the couch, waiting for him to walk through the door. Earlier, a guard had knocked to inform Nadia that Uncle had a visitor outside. I was puzzled about why he was here at this hour and why he wanted to see Uncle. If he wanted to meet, he should have waited until the morning.
Uncle had just gotten wasted and fallen asleep. How was he supposed to communicate with his visitor in this state? Coming during the day would have made much more sense.
