I rose from the chair, our gazes locked. She raised her shoulders and let them drop, slowly closing the door behind her. Who said he could come to the packhouse? Is he really that desperate, coming all the way to my pack to see me? What for? Some stupid ally he proposed? Come on, this makes no sense.
"You shouldn't keep him waiting. Go outside and find out why he's here." My maiden insisted.I knew it was because of his proposal from days back.
I turned on my heels and made my way out of the room, certain he would still be outside the packhouse. The guards wouldn’t allow him inside. I didn’t stop until I was standing face-to-face with him. He wore a smile and was dressed simply in a T-shirt and pants, which made him look more handsome than I have ever seen him.
