Something Forgotten

Dianna began pondering. What could possibly be going through Jeralds mind. He stay next to her and sometimes would look her in the eyes as though he wanted to speak but couldn't. Other times, he would ask her to go out on a date. On those dates, he was kind, very straightforward but also holding back. In Houston, we decided to try Brekfast Chik. A line wrapped around the building for breakfast and lunch, brunch. It was encouraging. Jerald definitely showed a polite approaching side that was super than his norm. They waited an hour but food was divine. Crisp veggies and ocean fresh seafood. He ordered all the menu items. Way too much food but he had an appetite for a Demon. He smiled and ate happily. Fried whole chicken wings with waffles filled his first platter. He attempted to get Dianna to taste it but she bushed it to the side as too greasy and mumbled something about her figure. Then came fish and grits. Country type dish unfitting for Jerald in Dianna eye but he devoured it and did not spill much of it. The grits were creamy like soup and fish was golden crispy with light lemon. Then a few other dishes flowed to the table and Jerald ate each plate no complaints. Dianna ate her fresh salad slowly and watched Jerald facial expressions paint across his face in response to each plate. For a man that is a Demon, he ate each plate as though he had not ate each plate before it. Then he took her Houston Galleria. He didn't spend lavishly while with her, but each item he decided to grab was very expensive. They stopped at a jewelry store and looked at each piece with wide eyes. Dianna gazed at a light golden bracelet and necklace set. The light golden chain was graced with an infinity sign with a ruby and Sapphire gems making the symbol pop. The bracelet that matched, was graced similar except the infinity was by itself but that chain was gracefully studded with ruby and Sapphire connecting it. Jerald eyes never left her face watching the pair of jewels in the case. Jerald kindly asked the brown haired clerk with a pencil skirt to wrap it for him. As he noticed Dianna was still preoccupied mentally with limited infinity set, he found the perfect ring for his beloved. He wanted it as a surprise and knew that 2months front that day they would be wed. What he wanted was her loving him back and with him without restraints. the ring he decided to buy was rose gold, not thin, but thick enough so it wouldn't break in the future. It was splashed with tiny diamond with one diamond slightly larger than the rest. It looked as though someone place each star within the ring and painted the rington perfection in his eyes. Jerald paid for the times and reach out to Dianna. She was lost in thought until he said, " It is beautiful but not more than you. Please, will you go with me somewhere... It won't take long." Dianna had come adjusted to him and his touch. She smiled with butterflies creeping into her belly. " Yes. Where to? " Jerald grabbed her hand but didn't speak. He was happy and she was surprised. Not that jerald was taking the initiative to actually court her or her was smiling but that she actually grabbed his hand in response and allowed him to take her freely to whatever s special event he planned for her that afternoon. Meanwhile, in the mountains of Oregon, Patrina was lost in the woods alone. Father Alcanan decided to take her with him for a hiking trip. Who knew what that man has in his mind, a child young and unable to defend herself was definitely the wrong parenting choice he made. Patrina was crying her eyes out. " Daddy, where are you? I'm lost and can't find my way back to the camp. Please dad I'm ready to go home." Her voice was echoing through the green pine trees barely sounding like a whisper. She was alone desperate and lost. Her body was cold. Shivers continued to roam her tiny frail body. She would walk but she was sure she had broken her foot and ankle because she lost her shoes running past trees that she no longer recognized. "Daddy please. I need help. I'm scared. My foot hurts." Patrina yelps for help fell to deaf ears. There were owls making hoot noises. Every now and again, Patrina could hear rustling noises I nearby bushes and snap. She hooked her head to the left, she knew she was not alone. Something or someone was close and possibly followed her through the forest of the mountains. She couldn't believe father left her r rather he wasn't looking for her after sending her to gather wood and maybe find possible food in the forest. Hiking the mountain scales took a sudden turn for a camp night and that didn't sit well with Patrina . Moments later a gruff smell filled Patrina nose. Snap. there was another crackle of branches not three feet from where she was sulking in fear and despair. Patrina body stiffened because there was a beastly aura surrounding some blueberry bushes on her left side. Patrina face was full of tears. Her eyes were beginning to swell and her foot was swollen purple and her body was starting to sweat. Her pain and fear was overrunning her body. She started shaking franticly and yelled,"Daddy please help me. Leave me alone. My dad is not far from here!!!" The beast in the bushes slowly crept towards the fearful child. It had eyes that glowed in the dark and lookp pitch black. it's fur was soft like a bear but walked on all four like a wolf. Seven foot long and it had found it's prized prey. Before Patrina frail body could move a moment, the beast leapt over her tiny broken foot and crushed her two arms. "ahhhhhh! Please stop. Don't do this. It hurts so much!!!" Patrina couldn't squelch the pain in her heart or body. She was physically almost in pieces at the moment. What hurt most was she wanted her sister. The darling young woman Dianna. Her eyes made a lifeless glare at the beast and she almost couldn't breathe from the fear of not ever being able to see Dianna one last time. The Beast then crushed Patrina hip bone causing her to let out an even louder scream for help... How could such a beautiful day, turn into her horrid ending of a life. Pain was inevitable almost part of Patrina DNA at this moment but it didn't stop the screaming. She kept telling herself she wasn't going to die but now she was losing too much blood. The beast was still placing all his weight on to Patrina tiny frame. He crushed each and every bone in her body while slowly savoring each screeching yell from Patrina. The beast looked into that fragile little girls eyes and watched her heavy breaths slowly leave her until it took its paws and slashed her throat into threads and blood stairs it's coat. The beast was satisfied with this monstrous scene it had created and slowly cut her limbs from her body. Snap! c***k! The beast never looked up because he could smell that man sweat that lightly glistened his body. Alcanan emerged his Full body from the shadows. He didn't show any concerns, not even for his youngest daughter that was lying on the ground in her own blood and her limb torn fro her body. He spoke to the beast. " Remember not to come from these woods but go deeper. Do not be seen by anyone." Alcanan was dripping water into a bucket The beast didn't care to leave the woods. It was his home. He lived off the land and simply forgot how to transform into human but his beast was strong willed and feral in this form. " When I need you again, we will meet at the same spot deep into the forest as we had done before. leave and do not return." Alcanan never waited for a response. He walked away without giving Patrina body a second glance. Alcanan cold manner was showing more now than it ever was. Dianna was the only person who was shown this personality fro her father but it was never to this extent. Alcanan took his normal long strides back to his camp with his hands in his pockets. The man ultimately was satisfied with how the Beast handled the small task. His next step would be to get Dianna back in Oregon, and it would need to be soon. The money she has hidden in various accounts was depleted and what was left had been tightly locked away by the bank system. Atenia had become useless and her body was like stale chips to him now. The young girl believed in all her nativity that they would be together. Hmph. Alcanan would rather sweep dirt from the forest floor before being with a woman like her. Atenia was able to gain access from Dianna for all her accounts. Each business deal or job Atenia accompanied Dianna with, she was always listening, making mental notes of higher paid job Dianna had completed. secretly the girl made copies of everything and every account that held larg sum of money. Best friend is your worst enemy was definitely correct. Atenia was going to run off with all of it but Alcanan was the person who Found out the dirty little secret she was quietly exploiting. So he decided to take action and Atenia did not want to find out what Dianna would do when she knew the truth. Slowly each day went by without Dianna finding out anything, Alcanan did everything imaginable to make Dianna life like hell surrounded by fire and flames and soon he would have her under his grasp. A rose gold diamond splashed ring and he was saying something with a smile on his face. As he circled the ring around Dianna slender left ring finger, tears began retreating her cheeks. Dianna was indeed happy but was choking on the words she wanted to say. Jerald was not a Demon that was supposed to be domineering and overprotective. He was taking the initiative to show her he cared. Even though asking her at this very moment was something similar to a pretense, he had given her space to breathe while accompanying her every step of the way into his life. Jerald swiped each tear brimming Ian as cheek and slowly wiped away the uncertainty Dianna was holding in for so long. " Before, before I say yes, please talk with me." Dianna let the words roll from her lips. Jerald smiled ," of course my beloved." The pair grabbed the purple like blanket not too far from them and laid it out next to the lavender garden they passed on their way to their display table.
