Jerald planned it perfectly. Ashrina and Serene chose the perfect black suede knee length dress for Dianna with pretty studded earrings and bracelet. The shoe were the perfect black wedged heel with gladiator strapping. Dianna hair had soft curls with her signature french bun in the back..
The dress was only slightly revealing on her sides but her soft tan like skin was glistening through the cut fabric. She was perfect and her smile she gave him as they walked hand in hand gave Jerald some sense of security. Even though they only separated for nearly two hours for the sisters to pamper and dress her, he felt like he had been away from her forever.
Dianna let her curiosity get the best of her. "where are you taking me? and don't give me that secret business you were spouting earlier. you have to tell me." she was pouting with cutesy wicked like smile.
Jerald eyes glistened with affections for the woman. He rolled his eyes and took her body into his arms, flushed against his own. " I need you to wait a while longer. We are almost there."
Dianna gave a small smile and stepped back from him. She kept wondering to herself when did she decide to let go of her all that bitter anger that made her feel strong. She was definitely changing and hopefully one day she would be able to open up to Jerald about the uneasiness with her family and the darkness from her past that hunted her at night.
With each step Dianna took with Jerald, she was slowly releasing those chains that tied her down. In the beginning, Dianna believed the Demon was selfish, uncaring, demanding and an unbearable smothering curse in her life. Jerald proved her wrong each and every day.
Today, seemed to make everything wrong suddenly disappear. Jerald lead Dianna through a lavender garden with lights that accentuated each flower that made them look like they were bursting. The bricks beneath their feet, were red clay bricks and led them to a table with a familiar little box placed with champagne flutes filled with poppy flowers. There was no wine in the vicinity but the sweets smells filled the air around Jerald and Dianna as they neared the table.
"What is this Jerald? you have all my faves here and the moonlight is perfectly sitting on this table." Dianna was smiling. and the air calmed her as she trailed her fingers along the table as she found her way to the treasure box that was waiting for her.
Jeralds perky but husky voice bellowed," open the box and you will see. I want to ask you something. when you see it I will tell you."
Dianna's face was bright and cheerful. She said her tiny fingers around the velvet treasure. She opened it and found nothing. She was disappointed until Jerald was on his knees in front of her holding her missing prize.
Jerald was saying something that was inaudible to Dianna. As she finally realized he was doing this may have been just a pretense but it made her happy. He revealed a rose gold diamond studded ring that looked stunning on her slender fingers.
Tears began to swell in her eyes and tricks down her plump cheeks. She was definitely happy but some sadness from her darkness made her insecure. Jerald was loving and gentle with her at all times. In the beginning f it all, Dianna believed Jerald was overbearing selfish and uncaring.
Dianna was wrong. Jerald never once touched her inappropriately but he didn't leave her side. He had given her space and allowed her to breathe. He didn't speak on anything that she thought he would ask about and most importantly, he protected Dianna without ever overstepping whatever boundaries Dianna set.
Dianna's swollen tears trickled down her plump cheeks and Jeralds fingers caught each year and wood them away.
Dianna some as she let the words roll from her lips," I need to tell you something before I give my answer."
" Anything for you beloved. " Jerald face was soft with every happy emotion that could possibly show to Dianna.
The pair grabbed the purple throw blanket and placedit next to the lavender patch close to the table. Jerald lead Dianna by the hand to the chosen spot.
Jerald wouldn't let her hand go but looked into Dianna eyes and waited for her to speak.
"Jerald my family is strange, my father the strangestof them all. I don't think he love me or even care about me."
“My father was always distant even when I was a child, I Could not keep his attention but I figured maybe he was always tired from being busy but nothing I did seemed to grab his attention.”
Jerald was still looking deep into her beautiful hazel eyes waiting for the words to come forward. He knew there was darkness living in her since that night on the porch. Serene may have known what was wrong but she would never tell the secrets of his beloved, it was her private policy not to indulge other sensitive info when they are trying to live righteously despite the darkness.
Purgatory was always filled with vengeful spirits that took hellish turns for the worse. Jerald learned over time to avoid any and all wrong decisions with forcing darkness to leave against its own will. So he was more than willing to wait for the response his beloved was giving him with open arms and love above all else.
“When I was 13 something happened to me. My father didn’t even say anything. In fact, he was indifferent and didn’t even look twice in my direction. He let it happen to me. Then he didn’t even check to see if there were facts behind my statement.” Dianna felt lumps in her throat.
Dianna looked into Jerald eyes while searching for any sign that he was brushing her to the side but he continued listening. Each word from Dianna was like a feather for Jerald and he wanted them. He needed them.
She continued speaking, “My fathers best friend r***d me in the mountains. He r***d me after my very first shift. When I told my father what happened in the mountains, he wouldn’t even believe me. Said I was delusional from the shift. Which was beside me. Belon was supposed to be an uncle so I never once believed he would do something like that. He scarred one of my ovaries and made it difficult for me to conceive in the future.”
Jerald held Dianna close. After each tear fell, he looked her in the face reassured her he was staying with her no matter what would happen. “Dianna I am not here to judge you. I only want to love you. We can always adopt in the future. However distant your father may be, I will fill every hole in your heart with my love.”
Dianna then gave her answer and let their first kiss overwhelm her body. Every part of her body beckoned the Demon to encase her with his large frame. The black dress was almost full of grass as Jerald leaned into her tiny frame and Dianna did not fight the built up tension between her and him.
MMMMMM. The sweetness engrossed both of them as their tongues grazed the lips. Their lips plump and swollen; cheeks flush red through their tanned flesh. Dianna felt something hardened in Jerald’s pants. It grazed her thigh and sent tingles through her entire body. She was aroused as her body felt his pleasure caress her thigh. She knew she wouldn’t be able to deny him too much longer because she was also feeling the connection between the both of them.
Slowly, as if on cue, Jerald slowly parted their lips; kissed the tip of her nose; and smiled sweetly into her eyes. “If we stay like this, we may go further than we need to. I want to save some for our wedding night.”
Dianna had a longing look in her eyes, but she could not be more satisfied with how he responded to her confession than now. She confessed her darkness and felt lighter than ever. Her mind was always full of the pain of what happened to her, and most nights kept her from sleeping. It hurt her mental that someone she regarded as family took her innocence and ruined it. But surprisingly Jerald seemed to take it into his heart and made it his own. For some instances, previously, Dianna suspected Jerald knew something about what was in her heart but he never spoke on it, and she greatly appreciated it. He even took in to consideration how she was always distant regarding her feeling to him and offered to put off the wedding between the 2.
Jerald just wanted to spend many nights with her without being restricted and most definitely not with her father and stepmother around with that wench of a best friend close by. Her stepsisters were not much better, but Patrina was purely innocent and Jerald agreed with Dianna that it was time to take the little angel with them as part of his own family. The amount of poison the man alone was capable of putting in someone else’s life was that equal to a lake. The youngest daughter in that family was definitely not safe. He was going to discuss with Alcanan soon about allowing Patrina to live with them soon before something devastating happen once again.
Dianna stood up on the purple blanket with Jerald helping her up and they began walking away from the garden. That night was truly eye opening for her but she wanted to do something for Jerald soon. So she asked him, “Jer Bear, “with her eyes sparkling” will you meet me in the Kitchen. I want to make you dinner.”
For some reason, Jerald always had hotel rooms the first few days they were in town and then suddenly they would move into a house that the five of them would stay in while traveling. Ashrina and Serene continued to stay with her at all times when Jerald was not around and the driver stayed with Jerald or so she thought.
Dianna was always comfortable and didn’t complain. Spending a week or two in different state or city was a great change of pace. She would not complain, business was always first and then they would go out after all business was dealt with appropriately. Jerald did not mix the pleasures he wanted with Dianna with his business dealings but he was always restraining himself like he did when they were in Lake Boudreaux.
The Vampiric Lorde wanted Dianna as compensation and The Black Witch wanted her DNA for other reasons. However, Dianna didn’t falter into fear. In fact it almost made her laugh and it gave her the courage to step forward release her auras and dominate them physically. She overpowered the two separate entities alone with her beastly aura and then calm their senseless ways with her celestial scents that smelled of lavender and poppies.
Finally they were able to settle the dispute with trades between the two. Between the witches and vampires, they both were right and wrong and Dianna simplified each individual problem and found a very promising solution that seem to cure that disaster. They stayed there a few days to ensure the solution was working in favor of both vampire and witches so the damage for Jerald was minimal.
Jerald admired Dianna mind even more and respected her for every step forward she took to make herself stronger mentally. This time around if she wanted to make him dinner after her confession then Jerald was definitely willing to see her delicate fingers in the kitchen working to feed him something delicious.
Jerald loved food. In his Demonic brain he daydreamed about what she would cook for him. Serene was waiting for them at the front door and showed them the way to the kitchen as if she knew what was about to happen. Ashrina placed an apron around Dianna. They left Dianna to the kitchen and placed Jerald at the table with a view of Dianna from the dining table near the kitchen.
Dianna washed the veggies and drained the water from them. She chopped all the necessary herbs and wild onions. She then heated the pan with some olive oil and simmered them in a light pan. While waiting for them to caramelize, she beat and battered some thin skirt steaks with seasoned flour and deep fried them. Meanwhile all veggies finished draining. Dianna remembered the frying pan was simmering and cut it off before it began to burn. Then she peeled the potatoes and boiled them in salt water and trimmed some brussels sprouts and steamed then with rosemary and half cup of water and Land O Lake butter. Everything she cooked was aromatic and had Jerald lips moist with drool.
The different smells were teasing his stomach and it growled in response to all the thick aromas. He could not wait to devour everything she was cooking for him. Patience was leaving him because he wanted to see her up close and within her bubbled space but Serene and Ashrina would not let him move from his spot. Soon after, all the food was complete. The herbs complimented the flavors in the dish. Steamed veggies boiled natural potatoes and deep-fried steaks that were covered in scratch gravy. One countryside meal he missed since they left Texas. Now they were in Jersey and soon would be leaving for France and then Russia for their wedding. They were in a peaceful mood lately but there was definitely something brewing overseas with the Gypsies and other super naturals.
Jerald wanted to enjoy the peaceful moments and the meal that Dianna prepared for him personally was absolutely delicious. Dianna watched him chew and savor each bite as if it were his last. DING. The timer chimed and she brought forward from the oven a pumpkin-sweet potato pie and a small cup of coffee.
They smiled like idiots because both were satisfied even though Dianna only ate her signature salad with some fish.
Then one broke the silence,” Did you enjoy the meal? I asked the lady there what were your favorites and they gave me a list of everything you liked. Hopefully, I will be able to do dinners for you in the future like this.”
“Yes I loved it. I would like that. You surprised me. I will remember to get everything you would need with a large kitchen. You can design it yourself. “Jerald said it with a huge smile on his face.
The silent encounters between them were gone and now they were always able to talk freely about the moon and stars if the wanted to. It didn’t matter anymore one was hurt and the other was waiting. Jerald was still teaching her all about the business dealings he controlled. Dianna was very attentive to everything and all minor details. Of course, she didn’t overthink her dealings with negotiations this far. She was flawless but Jerald was always ensuring that there is room for improvement when larger problems occurred.
“We could send you to school if you desire further education Dianna. I don’t mind. Anything you want to do I am more than willing to support you.” Jerald said this to her while watching her eyes follow him to his office door.
They decided to go over all things he had not previously covered with her. Dianna thought she knew what he was talking about and said there is no need. She continued taking notes of everything that he had placed in front her. Organized every document he placed on the desk in front her. Created digitized folders for all the piles and piles of paper that was splashed across the desk.
These days the engaged couple spent time in the office and then after every single paper and document was out of sight and out of mind, they would go on a date to somewhere different. Date week started just after the proposal/ confession night. Then they had dinner with Dianna cooking something Jerald liked. A DIFFERENT DATE AND A DIFFERENT MEAL. They made it seem like a new tradition.
Today, which was a Friday, they decided to leave the office room alone and head for the local carnival. They were currently walking hand in hand cotton candy and popcorn. They were sparkling to anyone who watched them pass them.
They didn’t know Jerald was a Demon with that gorgeous smile and they believed Dianna was a real Celestial with that Golden smile painted to perfection. Truly they were in bliss. Strange ringtone came from Dianna phone.
“Hello” voice ringing with Happiness.
“What?! Wh..when? How…. how could that happen? Where is my family?” she was exasperated. Dianna almost lost grip on her phone and became weak kneed.
Jerald noticed that her disposition and demeanor shifted to mixed emotions and then utter grief…. What was wrong, so he slipped the phone from her grasp, “This is Jerald. What is wrong? What is the problem?”
The man on the phone sounded displeased with the news he was giving Jerald as he spoke of Patrina mangled body being found in the mountains. He sounded just as broken as Dianna felt with tears dripping from face. Jerald hung up the phone and held Dianna closely and felt helpless against the pain she was feeling what ever happened to her precious little angel. Jerald could feel darkness well inside her and walked her away from the carnival.
