The Party started

LUCY'S POV Katie came in like a whirlwind when I was getting ready. "You promissed that I could do your make-up!" she said. "I only wanted to get a head start. You always take hours to get ready. Starting with my hair could save us both some time" I said and after that sticking out my tongue. "Well allrighty then, I can't argue with that, lets get to work!" When she was done I could not believe my two coloured eyes. Katie had drawn the perfect cat eye with a light green eyeshadow which complimented my darker green off the shoulder mermaid dress. My lipps had a nice nude shiny lipstick on them and the blush accentuaded my cheeks. "I look stunning Katie! Thank you! You don't look so bad yourself" I exclamated and joked. Katie was wearing a tight red dress that complimented her curves in all the right places. Her eyes only had a light eyeshadow and mascara, but she wore a bold red lipstick to make it pop. Her hair was curled. Mine was in an updo pinned to my head with a few locks hanging loose. "I know right? Just don't forget, tonight is also about Mike and me. You're my wingwoman. Could you help me in getting him alone? Away from Lilly?". "Of course! Although I thing Lilly will be trying to catch an Alpha or a future Alpha tonight. Bruce, Alpha of the East pack, is coming and so are Chad, the son of Alpha Jim of the South pack and Killian, the son of Alpha Xander of the West pack!" "Enough to choose from for her ánd you, but I only want Mike. Now let's go downstairs. The guests will be arriving any minute now!" Katie said. We walked down together. We wore matching heels, only hers were gold and mine were silver. My father said: "You both look stunning young ladies. Now, Lucy, stand next to me and your mother and help us in greeting our guests and making them feel welcome. Every guest needs to be escorted inside and offered a whisky. The omega's will take their bags." "Of course father." I knew I had to be on my best behavior tonight. The guests started to arrive. They were with so many arriving at the same time that my parents and I did not get to see everyone individually. We all accompanied different people inside and then went back outside to get more. My dad welcomed all the Alpha's and their families personally. And when they came in I smelled the best smell ever. Pines with mint. It smelled so good I wanted to find out where it came from, unfortunately I didn't get the chance to find out. More and more people were arriving and had to be escorted inside. Luckely our pack 'house' is actually an old castle, but without any water around it and it had been modernized. We had a ballroom to fit everyone ánd central heating to keep everyone comfortable. Once all the guests had arrived, my mother said to me: "Sweety, is everything oké? You have been twitching your nose for the past fifteen minutes". "I don't know Mom, I'm smelling something. Do you smell it too?" "I don't know what you're talking about, now stop doing it and go mingle. Bruce is standing right there by the bar. It wouldn't hurt you to talk to him. Let's go. I'll introduce the two of you." I was not exactly looking forward to meeting 'Bruce'. I had heard he was kind of a player and that he needed extra help to run all the buissnessess that his pack possessed. When we walked over to him, there were a lot of smells, but the one I was hoping to find, was gone. Strange, everyone that came in, should be here. "Hello Alpha, may I introduce my daughter to you? This is Lucy" my mother said with her pleasing and most angelic voice. I thought it was nausiating. "Sure Luna, but may I first say: thank you for personally inviting me tonight, please call me Bruce and WOW. You've raised a beautiful young woman. You both look great. Hello Lucy, I'm Bruce. Would you like to dance? I am pretty good." I was thinking how I should respond. He was polite, but also a bit forward." "Thank you Bruce, as long as you don't mind if I step on your dancing feet, we should be fine." My Mom mindlinked me: "LUCY! Behave yourself!". And out loud she said: "oh, thank you for the compliments. My daughter is only joking, she is also an excellent dancer." That is when I started to dance with Bruce. He was not bad, but I just could not forget that smell. I had to explore where it had come from.
