"Two tequilas!! I need it strong!!" The bartender looked at me and said, "You've had three cups already." I yelled, "And so what?! Huh?!! She invited me there just to make me feel embarrassed!!" Clearly drunk, I had no idea why I was asking the bartender something he had no idea about. I muttered to myself, "I'm such a fool!! Why the hell did I even go?!" The bartender brought the two tequila shots I ordered and dropped them in front of me. I drank both instantly in one shot and slammed the small cups back on the table. The bartender warned, "Careful with that, ma'am, please." I yelled, "Careful with that? Why the hell didn't you tell Ivy to be careful with me, huh?! Why the hell did my fiancé have to dump me?!" Then a voice interrupted me. He said, "Then he's definitely missing." I turned back to look at him, clearly drunk. "Excuse me?" I asked. He repeated, "He doesn't deserve you; he definitely threw out an angel like you." Jesus... His voice alone cleared my foggy mind. I gulped hard, looking at him. He was smoking hot with broad shoulders! "Mind if I join you? Maybe you could tell me all about it." He said. I nodded gently as he pulled the seat beside me and sat just right beside me. He turned to the bartender and said, "Just water." I shook my head and said, "No no... Give him tequila, the bill is on me." Not like I had the money to waste, but I just needed to drink with someone. I wanted someone to be on the same page with me. He smiled and said, "I really don't want to get drunk; I have a party tomorrow." I chuckled drunkenly, "Then that makes us even. I also have a party tomorrow. How about we drink all our pains away so we'll be free tomorrow." He smiled and said, "Hmmm...." He then turned to the bartender and said, "Two shots." I yelled, "Bingo!!" The bartender brought two shots of tequila, and I looked at the stranger. He said, "Cheers?" I laughed and asked, "What are we cheering to? I'm definitely a mess!" The stranger said, "No, no... You're not. Why not see yourself as special and that your ex didn't deserve you? Maybe you deserve more." His words made me feel a bit better. I agreed, "Right? Maybe I'm too good for him." The stranger chimed in, "Definitely. You're young, pretty; every man would want you." Biting my lower lip, I looked at him and teased, "So, Mr. Stranger, are you flirting with me?" He smiled and said, "Is that what you wanna call it?" I couldn't stop looking into his captivating blue eyes, they were something else. I asked, "So... What are you cheering to?" He replied, "A new beginning... for my dad." I said, "Hmm... Seems we have a lot in common then." Raising my tequila cup, I said, "Cheers." We drank it all in one shot and I slammed my cup on the table. "Two more!!" I yelled He looked concerned and said, "Isn't that enough? How many have you taken already?" The bartender interjected, "She's had seven!!" I I yelled at him, clearly drunk, "What the hell is wrong with you?!! Do you want to tell me how to spend my money? Or do you also want to frustrate my life?! Jasper sent you, didn't he?!" The stranger tried to calm me down, "Hey... It's okay, calm down." I looked at him and cried, "Why am I not just lucky!! Even my mom was given another chance at love, and what about me?!" He raised my head to face him and said, "Hey... Look at me, you've got this. He's not worth a single tear." He looked at me, his hands gently wiping away my tears. Neither of us could look away, and as he moved closer, my heart raced. His breath drew near, and without hesitation, I closed the gap, our lips meeting. His lips were soft and succulent, and I closed my eyes, savoring the moment. But then, abruptly, I pulled away. "Uhm... I'm, I'm sorry," he stammered. I didn't say a word, just turned to the bartender and yelled, "One more tequila." The stranger chimed in, "One for me as well!" I'm sure he felt the awkwardness as well and we both didn't say a word. The bartender brought the tequila, and we both drank it in one gulp. I'd had enough to run over a cow, and my head was spinning. I managed to stand up, but I stumbled. The stranger quickly grabbed me, saying, "Gosh... You're really high." Struggling to stand, the alcohol was overpowering. I stammered, "I... I'm... I'm good." He remarked, "You definitely can't drive this way." But I drunkenly insisted. "No... I'll book a cab." "A cab? Is it safe? Let me drop you off; I'm with my car." He said. I managed to mumble, "Ohh.... Are... Are you sure?" I just couldn't stop belching. He reassured, "Sure." Then he took me by the waist, helping me walk to his car. As soon as we got in, I dozed off. In my clumsy state, I could hear him saying, "I'm sure you'll be fine after you've had enough sleep." I replied, "Are you leaving me? I kinda didn't want to spend the night alone." He laid me on the bed and said, "Just have enough rest first." As he was about to stand up, I pulled him by his hands, and he fell straight back, topping me on the bed. I gulped hard as my heart rate increased. I could feel the warmth of his body, and that was all I needed. He trailed his fingers through my hair and arranged my scattered hairs off my face as he looked at me. Moving my gaze from his eyes to his lips, In a rush, he instantly kissed me. It was as if we had been holding ourselves back for far too long. I kissed him back as I aggressively ripped off his shirt. Oh God, his muscles!!! His body was on fire. His abs, everything was just on point!! I could feel his heartbeat in my hands as I traced over his abs. He pulled me, turning me over to the other side, and right there, we made love. I hadn't felt that way in two f*****g years!! No way!! The next thing I remembered was the sound of my phone beeping. It was probably the alarm I had set to wake me up in time for my mom's wedding. As I sat up, I yelled, "Oh f**k!!!”
