Chapter 3

ANNA’S POV

I finally arrived at my lonely apartment after an hour drive, wow, I can’t believe I drove around until I arrived at that beautiful forest for over an hour at that, but I am glad I ended up there, I even met my handsome saviour Alex but I am still wondering what he was doing there. There are no houses near that place and I didn’t see any car around when I left. How did he go there?

I should stop thinking about him before my lonely self falls into his charm. What do I do in this lonely spooky house of mine, I don’t even have friends ha ha ha, you are so pathetic and lonely Anna, even your mom doesn’t love you. (Sigh)

Let me see, what am I going to eat tonight. I opened my fridge and it stared back at me all empty only fruits and water in it. Ask me again why I never buy groceries, I can’t answer that, I also don’t know. I guess I am eating noodles again tonight. I took out two packs of noodles and placed them on the kitchen counter and poured a fair amount of water into a pan.

My phone suddenly rang, I wonder who is calling me, I’m sure it is my annoying Mother. She just won’t leave me alone, so annoying. I picked up my phone and indeed it was my mom. I rolled my eyes and answered the call.

“Mom?”

“Anna we have ran out of money please send me some.” my mom Shamelessly asked for money like I’m some type of a bank or a tree that grows money. How is she asking for money when I literally gave her almost half of my payment two days ago. I know she raised me and I’m grateful but I never asked her to give birth to me, it is her responsibility to take care of her children and I don’t owe her nothing.

Or do I? I literally pay for their house bills and my little brother's school fees but she keeps on asking. I'm broke as it is because of her but she just never stops, I wish the world would open up and swallow me.

“Mom I don’t have much money left on me, I need to buy certain necessities for myself and buy gas, I really can’t give you anything right now, please wait until next week.” I told her honestly. I don’t really mind spending on them but she is doing too much, I can’t live like this.

“You’re lying, I am sure there’s going to be money left after you have bought all that you need, you earn a lot just help your mom and little brother out okay.” I muted the call and sighed loudly before I screamed at the top of my lungs, perks of living in a sound proofed house.

“Fine mom I’ll see what I can do” I replied defeated I’m tired of fighting with her, clearly earlier today when I vented, I was talking to a rock, cause she heard none of the things I said.

“That’s my girl bye I love you, sweet dreams" she hung up finally.

Sweet dreams my foot, she only speak nicely when I give her money or promise to give it to her. I really don’t get what she does with all the money I give her and it’s draining the life out of me. Lord help me before I end up killing myself for real and leave my lovely brother with my airheaded mom.

AUTHOR’S POV

After complaining about her Selfish mom Anna cooked her noodles and ate, then took a shower, brushed her teeth and went to bed, while laying in bed forcing herself to fall asleep, she remembered how Alex saved her back at the forest and how handsome he looked.

‘I should go see him again tomorrow, he said the forest is dangerous but invited me to go back there, couldn’t he invite me to go somewhere decent instead' Anna wondered and chuckled just thinking about a date in the forest.

“Cute” she said and giggled all by herself. Kicking the air, going crazy.

“Oh my, oh my, what am I doing fantasizing about someone I don’t know, he probably has a pretty girlfriend, and he wouldn’t want to date an ugly duckling like me. A date, a DATE? Ha ha ha get off your high horses Anna, it is just a meet up. At the forest at that.” she laughed bitterly like a mad woman.

"Actually never mind I'm going to tell you all about it tomorrow." Alex mentioned and Dave asked where he was hiding, he really wanted to know what Alex was up to. "Bro come see me tomorrow, I'm tired I'm going home." Alex mentioned yawning and they fist bumped and parted ways.

NEXT DAY

“Tell me again why I decided to invite a human being to come here to the forest full of hungry werewolves, what was I thinking that was so stupid of me.” Alex face palmed just thinking about it. He was finally back to his senses and busy overthinking.

“what if she comes tomorrow or any day and I’m not there oh no, she can’t be killed or get eaten, if that happens it will be my fault, aha ha ha.” he fake cried dramatically wiping his invisible tears with a sulking face.

It was during the day and Lucas just arrived at Alex's house and found Alex talking to himself, he looked at Alex and frowned wondering what’s going on with his best friend. Lucas placed the back of his hand on Alex’s forehead, and shook his head making a thinking expression. “You seem perfectly fine, what is going on with you then? You never act like this, did something happen?”

Lucas asked snapping Alex out of his thoughts, imagine Alex didn’t notice his best friend’s presence until Lucas spoke. Alex jumped a little being startled by Lucas as he thought he was all alone. “Lucas! Luu my best friend how are you my married bestie?” Alex asked and Lucas frowned again.

“No I should take you to a healer, you need to be examined." Lucas mentioned taking Alex’s hand making him stand up from where he was sitting. “I’m going crazy Luu. What was I even thinking?” Alex finally said something that made sense.

"What are you talking about Alex?" Lucas asked getting frustrated at the way Lucas was acting.

“We can’t talk over here, come with me." Alex took Lucas's hand and led the way running to a secluded place but unfortunately Dave was onto them following them like a tail.
