Chapter 5

After pondering on the matter for almost all day, Alex decided that it is better to end whatever this relationship between him and that stranger lady is, before it goes too far or worse Dave finding out about her and murders her.

Alex wanted to end it all nice and clean and not hurt the lady while at it. But how is he going to convince the stubborn Anna not to come to the forest no more, yes Anna might agree to end their friendship but that forest is where she finds peace now. How will he stop her from coming to the forest. How will he tell her that there are wolves that eat humans in this forest that she likes so much.

During working hours Anna couldn't wait to go home, home not really, Anna couldn't wait to go to the forest to see Alex again. She was so excited about seeing the handsome guy again. "You look so happy today Anna, did something happen?" Anna got startled by her colleague as she was focused on her work and didn't see her coming to her desk.

"You scared me, nothing happened it is just a good day isn't it Lisa?" Anna asked sassily with a very huge smile on her face. She doesn't like Lisa at all. Lisa always finds a way to get on Anna's nerve. When Anna bought an apartment she bought one in the Same area too, when Anna bought a car she bought the same one too. She is literally in a competition with Anna and Anna doesn't even understand why.

"I guess it is." Lisa replied annoyed and went back to her desk with a tail in between her legs. Anna grinned devilishly rolling her eyes and continued with her work peacefully. As soon as she knocked off she drove off straight to the forest without thinking twice. She was just excited to see Alex again.

Meanwhile Alex was patiently waiting for Anna completely unaware that Dave is watching his every move. Alex kept on practicing what he'll say to her for the last time. And while busy pacing up and down practicing, Alex was startled by little cute hands touching him. Alex jumped a bit and found Anna looking at him with a smile on her face.

"Hey I came like you said I should, I can't believe you're really here. What did you come with, I didn't see any car or motorcycle back there?" Anna blabbered very happy to see Alex again. Alex got lost in her beauty and her scent. It was driving him crazy, he just wanted to hug her and squeeze her petite body.

"Alex" Anna called out snapping Alex out of his thoughts. "Sorry Um who? I didn't get your name yesterday?" Alex asked internally slapping himself for thinking what he was thinking just now.

"Anna McCain" Anna replied smiling like a fool. She couldn't help but get lost in Alex's beauty. Alex was not just handsome but he's a giant, has biceps, nice built body, tall, deep voice, literally every woman's dream boyfriend no husband.

"Anna beautiful name just like it's owner." Alex covered his mouth not believing what he just said. Anna laughed at his reaction and tugged her bangs behind her ear shyly.

"Thank you Alex, you're not bad yourself, you're actually very handsome." Anna said without much thought and hid her face with her cute tiny hands and Alex looked at her adoringly, smiling like an i***t.

"I really hope Alex is not thinking of dating a human being, this is wrong he can't do that." Dave spoke to himself looking at the two not believing what he's seeing, he was hiding behind a huge tree . He heard footsteps behind him and saw two boys from their pack coming his way, Dave quickly stood up and walked up to them.

"What are you guys doing here? " Dave nervously smiled. Looking suspicious.

"We are here to hunt for food." One of the boys replied "Oh food, I've been here for hours now and it's dry how about we go check on that side, there might be few meals there." Dave lied wrapping both his arms on the boys shoulders leading them to the other side so they don't see Alex and Anna.

Why was he doing this? He himself said he'll kill Anna if Alex thinks of dating her, so why is he not letting the two wolves catch them and murder Anna?

"Do you come here often? Do you also have problems? Do you come here to find comfort?" Anna asked curious about why this handsome guy was coming to this forest it is very far from their town why'd he go there.

"I just love hiking and nature, what about you I saw you crying yesterday, what's the matter if you don't mind me asking? " Alex lied and changed the topic immediately not wanting Anna to ask more.

"I was just driving without a destination and ended up here and I'm glad I found this place, it is so peaceful and beautiful "Anna replied smiling dearly.

"No this place is dangerous. I actually- (sigh) Anna please don't come here hoping you'll find me from tomorrow moving forward. I won't be coming here anymore and it will be wise if you don't too as this forest is very dangerous for you." Alex said his heart hurting he didn't like this but he had to do it.

The smile on Anna's face instantly faded as she looked at Alex hurt by his words.

"Really?" you could hear that she's hurt "You said I should come here often, that I'll always find you here, I find peace and comfort here and I found you a new friend, no my only friend. I really like this place." Anna said looking up to block her tears from falling. Why did this hurt her so much?

"There are dangerous animals that can hurt you here Anna, please stop coming here. I was warned about this place and I'm warning you, please listen to me." Alex begged her. Alex really wanted to save Anna from all the other wolves.

"It is fine if you won't come here anymore since you're such a coward, but I will continue coming here, it is peaceful and beautiful I like it here and you don't get to tell me what to do!" Anna yelled and Alex quickly covered her mouth scared that the others will hear her. It was the hunting time and wolves must be on their way there.

Unfortunately for them the wolves who were approaching there really heard Anna screaming. Anna looked at Alex dumbfounded as Alex was carefully concentrating, trying to hear if anyone is coming.

"Did you hear that?".... "I think today we'll have a human meal".... Alex heard them talking from afar. If he concentrates he can hear voices that are a little too far from him.

Alex grabbed Anna's hand and started running towards the road where she parks her car. Anna dumbfoundedly followed him without asking too many questions even though she didn't understand what was going on.

"Alex where the hell are we running to I'm tired, why are we even running?" Anna complained and Alex just picked her up bridal style and ran at the speed of lightning.

The wolves finally arrived at the waterfall but got disappointed when no one was there. Alex got in the car along with Anna told her that his car broke down and he needs a lift. Anna not thinking that all this is weird just smiled and drove without asking much. Alex sighed a sigh of relief that they managed to run and Anna is safe.

For how long will Alex continue seeing Anna? Will he stop or continue? And how will he go back home he's never been out of the woods ever before.

"Why did you suddenly take my hand and run away like that, I wanted to see more of the water fall and the forest." Anna complained with a pout. "I have to be somewhere important in the next hour that's why." Alex lied internally cursing himself, he hated this.

"You ran like a cheetah though I've never seen a human being run like that ever in my life" Anna suddenly ask causing Alex to freeze not knowing what to say.

Dave who had dodged those boys to go spy on Alex shook his head not liking where this Alex and Anna situation was going. "I have to get rid of that woman" Dave said full of anger.
