Chapter One
"It's Callum, isn't it?"
Her pupils enlarged. He'd hit the nail on the head.
"It's obvious. You have feelings for him." He looked at her with caution as she sounded the words. "I've seen the way you look at each other. Even the first time he met you. He doesn't just open up to people like that." He continued. "I should've been wary from the start, but maybe I just wanted to think I could've had a chance with you."
As he said it, the image of the first time she'd really met Callum played back. He'd seemed so unlike how everyone had labelled him to be, and it called to mind the way Eli had been shocked at how he'd been acting.
"Still friends?" She looked at him again, hoping that they could put it behind them.
"Yeah, friends..."
Things are never that simple though.
