Ch:6 Not Her Friend

The lights of her room were dimmed. Edwina was sitting in the same position curled in a ball. Her hands were wrapped around her mere body. She remembered his eyes. The passion in them always makes her shudder. She feels millions of feelings hid behind his eyes. Thousand of secrets he kept from her, but the things she can see clearly is the passion for her... If he has anything for her why did he behave with her like that!!! Edwina always thinks these question whenever he treats her as she broke his law intentionally. He feels so good giving her suffering? Edwina was living with him for twelve years.

Drayke never tried to form any relationship with her, he is a master for her... She tried to share her heart with him when she starts growing up. But he always stopped her. He always asks her to be quite. He never heard her stories. She just wanted a comfort zone around herself, she wanted to feel secure. Edwina saw a shade of comfort in him, she saw a man that can give her comfort. She was a little child. But he always ignored her...

He never tries to make her feel comfortable in any situation. Drayke eyes always make her feel as she is under a threat. A dangerous beast is always trying to make her his prey. Edwina fears him the most she always followed his rules. She never tries to broke any rule but he always found some mistake in her... He let her stand in the blood cooling water for hours and hours... He never tortured her or try to harm her but that punishment creates trauma in her mind. She feels as she will be dead one day standing in the cold water. He will enjoy the scene in front of his eyes. Her dead body lying on the floor. But no it never happened. She got along with her punishment that now she doesn't feel it... He has disciplines to live his life. Edwina never hated him. She respects him but his fear overcome all other feelings in her heart.

Edwina tried to make him her friend. She tried to develop a friendly relationship with Drayke. But whenever she tries something like this, he left her alone in the mansion for weeks... She tried to contact him, she tried to find him but he didn't come back.

Drayke only comes back home when he be sure that the thought to make him her friend is evade from her mind. So, finally, at one point she stopped trying everything. She becomes the same person he wanted her to be... Edwina is now the girl moulded in his wishes. She stopped sharing her feelings with him, she ended her struggle to go close to him... Now they both live in the same house but as strangers.

Edwina living with him in this mansion together but she thinks there is a thousand miles distance in between them he is a stranger for her... He created that vast gap in between them and she doesn't know the reason. Drayke is a mystery that was so complicated to solve. As time passed by she gets to know that she belongs to him. Edwina wanted him to talk to her... Sometimes she feels as she will get mad in the silent walls of his mansion. She will forget to speak or listen to anyone. Drayke eyes watch her in doubt. She always feels as he has doubts that she will leave him. But he doesn't know that she doesn't have any place to go... She will never leave this place.

The time passed by, Edwina turned fifteen. She has seen him turning in his dragon Volos from her childhood. Volos is a fire and ice dragon. Edwina feared him but Volos eyes admired her, she gets along with his dragon. But not with him. Volos makes her sit on his back flying over the vast forest. Edwina enjoyed her rides but when she hit puberty. Dryake stopped shifting in front of her. Edwina missed Volos.

But she never speaks her wish to him. Edwina knows that she is a werewolf. She waited for all the years to shift in her wolf form but that full moon night was the worst night of her life. She feels the pain of shifting but she didn't turn in her wolf. On her tenth birthday, she got admitted to the wolverine academy. But with all the rules of Drayke. Dryake never let her train in the academy. Maybe he has a fear that she will get strong then leave him.

Drayke didn't react to her not turning in her wolf form. He didn't show any emotions or try to console her. He just said in a rude voice.

"You will turn on your eighteenth birthday. Standup. We are going back home." She remembered his words hoping that he is saying the truth. It was the night he told her that she is only his. Edwina belongs to Drayke. Edwina stopped thinking about her wolf but she got bullied in the academy for not turning in her wolf form. As Edwina stopped sharing her things with him. She never told him that she got bullied in the Academy all the time... Drayke never cared but he let one of his man behind Edwina. Louis is in the academy to keep an eye on her. Drayke is waiting for her eighteen birthday to claim her, he is waiting to savour her at the right time. Edwina fears that day the most. He is fire. She can not play with fire she will get burned that thought runs a shiver down her spine.

The time was passing by but she didn't stand up from her position. Edwina was deep in the world of her thoughts, she was thinking about her life. The tears didn't stop. The warm salty water was flowing freely over her cheeks. Why it always happened to me? I didn't do anything to deserve this cage. She hiccupped due to continuously crying. I follow his rules he knows I never intended to broke his rules. Edwina thought, she wiped her tears.

"Edwina Ambrose, I am waiting for you in the dungeon." He minds linked her. Edwina doesn't know how but he has his powers to mind link her from any corner of the world.

"Master, I am coming." She replied. She remembered her calling him for nights when he left her alone. But he never replied to her. She knows Drayke hear her screams in fear when he left her alone in the mansion. But he never comes back... Edwina now didn't fear the dark. She so gets along with the dark that she doesn't have any fear left in her heart.

Edwina stands up from the floor. She walks in her shower then took off her clothes.

Edwina's sleek body came into the view. The shinning body with soft milky skin was hidden behind her clothes. She has all the curves on the right places with an extraordinary fit body. Edwina's black hairs fall freely over her nude back... Her long sleek neck shine when the water runs freely over her skin. It is only Drayke that has seen her body or her hairs. He is the only one that has seen her beauty. The beauty that can make any man go on his knees. But it was hidden behind thousand of foggy curtains by Drayke. He never wants any other man to look at his woman. So, he never gives her permission to show herself to anyone... Edwina remembered that night when he ordered her to show herself to him. She was so shy but more than that she was scared.

What if he has done something to her? But, No. He only stares her for a second...

"Edwina, you will never do anything like this in front of me." He warned her then again vanished for weeks.

Edwina took a long shower.

"Rose, I am coming to your room. Why are you taking so long?" He said in her mind.

But she was so deep in her thoughts she didn't hear him. Edwina didn't reply to him... He clenches his teeth.

"Why is she taking so long?" He sneered. Edwina comes out from the shower wrapping a towel around her body. He starts taking huge strides towards her room.

"Edwina Ambrose, why did you make me punish you!!!" His eyes shine with rage. He moves up from the stairs crossing a few corridors. He passes his room opening the door of the room beside his... Edwina comes out from her thoughts when she saw him standing in her room door. Edwina was only wrapped in a towel that was covering her body merely... His eyes dropped over her sleek body. He starts taking slow steps towards her that made her took a few steps back. Edwina hit her back to the wall in the cage of his charismatic eyes.
