Rejected By An Alpha, Wanted By A Vampire

" You know, My neighbor is a witch" Suzy blurted out causing me to look at her stunned. " I've seen her cast all kinds of spells, I even saw her turn this one boy into a rat " " Suzy.." " I know what you are going to say, I was just making a suggestion". My best friend looked over her shoulders as if afraid that someone might overhear what she was going to say. She leans closer to me to whisper. " That man of yours needs to be put in check. Just say the word and I'll have grandma Amber turn him into a lizard! " I looked in the direction Suzy was pointing only to see Damien entangled with a blond girl. I couldn't see her face clearly from my angle but I knew she must be pretty to have caught my Alpha's attention. I had noticed them earlier but had chosen to ignore them. It wasn't a new sight to see Damien with a girl, this has been going on for as long as I could remember. There was once a time when the mere sight of him looking at someone else would have killed me, that was way back when we were still children. Over the years I had made peace with the fact that Damien could never change. He would always be the playboy I knew in the past, the only thing that kept me going was the knowledge that no matter who he messed around with he would return to me after. Beggars can't be choosers. " He is so shameless! Like how can he even do that s**t right in front of your face?!" " Dad said I should be patient. Damien would change once we become mates" " You two have been dating since we were Fourteen Lisa. Wasn't that enough time for him to change if he wanted to? I think it's because you've been too soft on that asshole!" I knew that Suzy was right of course, but it wasn't like I had a choice. Damien's father was the Alpha of our Pack and I had been specially selected to be his Luna. It was a great honor for both me and my family. It would be unheard of if I rejected Damien, not after so many years. I didn't love him but I cared deeply about him since growing up, I couldn't reject him. " You know how it is Suzy. Our mating ceremony has already been set, I can't leave him now" " Fine" Suzy sighs in defeat. " But at least let me help you" " I am not turning Damien into a lizard" " No no, as appealing as that sounds to me it won't be a good idea. But Grandma Amber can still be of use to you. She could give you a love potion!" She looks thrilled at the idea. Ever since Suzy started living outside the pack I have become increasingly worried about her mental health. I still couldn't wrap my head around the idea of her neighbor is a witch. Well, I knew that witches did exist, along with vampires, but I've never come across one. And all the stories my friend tells me about this neighbor of hers are quite hard to believe, especially the one about Grandma Amber turning her Son-in-law into a lizard. Suzy could have just made that up of course " I am serious Lisa. I've seen her work her magic and trust me it is quite effective. Why don't you go check it out, I am sure she can help you" " Even if she could, do you think it's not pathetic to have to use magic on my alpha for him to love me?" " We are not talking about him loving you, I can tell Damien already does" but it doesn't stop him from sleeping with anything that had a v****a. Suzy doesn't dare voice her thoughts out loud. " She could find something to make him change his ways. She could make him only attracted to you" " You think that's possible?" " Of course! Just give it a try and see" Despite Suzy's persuasions, I still found myself reluctant. I wasn't sure how my father would feel if he found out I had left the pack house not to talk of going to see a witch. What would everyone think of me if news got out that I had used magic on my alpha? The mere thought of being rejected by my pack scared me But when I looked in Damien's direction and found him making out with the blond, something broke inside me. Damien... deserved to be cursed! " Fine. Let's do it" * * * Grandma Amber was nothing like I had thought. I had this image in my head of an old woman with warts living in a dirty apartment. But this woman wasn't even that old, her apartment was nice ( even cleaner than Suzy's). There was a friendly smile on her face as she ushered us both in. " Welcome, please come and take a seat. I will make us some tea" " Are you sure this woman is a witch?!" I snapped at Suzy when the woman disappeared into the kitchen. Suzy immediately spoke up to appease my anger " Calm down, I also thought that the first time I saw her. You just don't worry". She seemed to have a lot of confidence in this woman, I wondered if she had ever performed magic in front of Suzy before " Your friend tells me about the reason for your coming" Grandma Amber said as she came to take her seat after setting the tea for us. She finally gives her full attention to me. " A love potion dear?" " Well...I was thinking more of an attraction charm" " Ah, unfortunately, I do not have those with me currently. But I promise that the love potion is just as potent" " um... okay, so how is this going to work exactly" "I will need a strand of your hair" "My hair? " why didn't I see that coming? God, this was so damn crazy! How the hell had I gotten to this desperate? " You see" the woman explains " I already have them made, so all I need is to mix in something that comes from you and you can be on your merry way" I didn't know what to say, too dumbfounded and confused at my own decisions in life. Suzy did not wait for me to speak either as she quickly reaches out to rip out a strange of my dark hair. I glared at her but she only flashes me a warm smile " Here you go." She hands over the hair strand and the woman once more disappeared into her kitchen. Did she make her potions in there? She comes out less than a minute later and hands me a small container. There was some dark powdery stiff inside. " Just sprinkle a bit of this into your lover's drink and all will be done. Though I must warn you to be careful with the amount you use so as not to make him too love crazed" It seemed Grandma Amber had had an incident like that occurring in the past, it mustn't have been a pleasant one either. " Also, the spell is active during the night time" " What? Why only nighttime? " " Hey don't worry" Suzy whispered " This is a good thing. At least now you can be sure that Damien won't be having s*x with those women he flirts with" Did Suzy think the concept of daytime s*x would be anything new to Damien? I mean I haven't caught him in the deed but it wasn't a very big secret that my alpha was sleeping his way through the pack. The most hurtful thing was he never even tried to be discreet about it. Everyone in the pack knew. " Alright," I had little hope that this would work anyways, so why not try and see? " I'll try it and see" " yay," Suzy cheered. " I am so proud of you". Of course, she was. I was even wondering if Suzy had used magic on all her past boyfriends. * * * Lucille Moonshine was the most important female in the Pack. It was said that she was born on the day when the moon shone brightest in the sky, that might have been the reason why her hair was the color of bright silver. She was beautiful and had the added benefit of having not one but two wolves. She was the pride of the Pack and all the young Alpha would compete for her attention. It was no wonder that her mate turned out to be the Alpha of one of the strongest packs in the North. A hundred times stronger than our pack. Among the many powerful guests that we're rumored to attend the wedding was Count Adrian Lystone, the crown prince and successor of House Naelex. While I don't believe much of the rumors but I was aware that Lucille's soon-to-be alpha was a cousin to the vampire prince. Whatever it was, I wasn't a fan of crowds. However, Lucille was Damien's younger sister and as his chosen Luna it was my duty to be present at the celebration. I wasn't even the mother wolf of my pack yet and so many responsibilities lay on my shoulders. This was why I envied Suzy most times, at least she had the freedom to live wherever she wanted and do such " Hey baby" A voice called startling me, I felt large hands wrap around me and Damien's familiar scent filled my lungs. " You look beautiful tonight" " Of course. Your mother picked my dress" In fact, Luna insisted that she dressed me, she said something about not wanting me as the next Luna of the pack to look anything less than acceptable. The real truth was she just didn't want me to embarrass her son in the reception tonight, a lot of important people were going to be in attendance after all. " Hm, mom has really good taste. But it's too bad I only want to rip them off you. However about we go somewhere a bit more private" " It's your sister's reception, Damien" " No one important has arrived yet" he tugged me even closer to himself, and I could feel the obvious tenth in his pants pressing into me. " I need relief babe" " Why don't you go find blondie to help you with that" I caught myself only after the words had slipped from my lips. Damien froze in his groping and stared at me with a frown. He was annoyed. " It's this again. How many times do I have to tell you that it's just fun, it's not like am sleeping with any of them. Well not since we got engaged anyways" " You are hurting me, Damien. A lot" " You didn't seem to mind before" Damien snorted. He always got angry when I brought this topic up, not even the tears pooling in my eyes moved him. Was this the man I loved? " Suzy must have gotten in your head again. I'll give you time to get yourself together" He walks off after that leaving me alone with my thoughts. I held tightly to my purse feeling reassured at the presence of the object inside. I had decided that I was going to give this whole "love potion " thing a try. I would do anything to have Damien to myself, even if it was just at nighttime. There was suddenly a loud commotion behind me, whispers and excited squeals filled the room causing me to turn towards the direction in curiosity. The first thing I noticed was the group of men in black, when I said black I meant they weren't wearing any other color at all. They were a total number of five men, their skins were as white as porcelain and their eyes glowed the deepest shade of red I had ever seen. They were all incredibly good-looking, but one that stood out most to me was the most good-looking one of them all. He had short black hair that fell above his forehead, the length was just above his eyebrow which gave him a soft yet aloof temperament. His phoenix eyes were narrowed slightly and his lips were pulled in a straight line. His skin was very pale and looked incredibly soft. To me, he looked much like a fairy with his incredible beauty. But there was a cold temperament around him, he didn't seem to pay any attention to the countless eyes peering in their direction and looked ahead with bored eyes. " Lisa!" " For f**k sake! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" " Sorry" Suzy gave me an apologetic smile. " I was trying to get your attention since earlier, but it seems you are also swooned by those vampires " " Don't be ridiculous " " Damn, the one in the middle is so hot" She was referring to the same man that had caught my attention. " He is the prince right?" " How would I know that?" " How about you go introduce us, he's already talking to Damien " It was more like Damien was trying to start up a conversation with the vampire. Lucille was standing by her alpha along with the alpha of the pack. They were all trying so hard to curry favor from the man, it was a bit pitiful to watch. " Speaking of Damien, this could also be your best chance to spike his drink" " But everyone is watching" " Yeah, that means in the face of everyone he can't possibly resist. Go on girl, am rooting for ya" Suzy could convincing if she wanted to. At a time when I was hesitant, she would always urge me on. The plan might present a good result or possibly blow up in our faces, but I'll never know unless I try. I move forward toward one of the waiters that were serving drinks and grabbed two glasses of red wine. I was in too much of a hurry to notice the skeptical look he sent my way. " Wow, I've never seen wine this thick before," Suzy said staring suspiciously into the glass. " Maybe the alpha had ordered it, especially for the occasion " I didn't dwell too much on it and brought out the container which contained the powdery stuff. I motioned for Suzy to cover me as I sprinkled just the right amount into the glass, I twirled the liquid inside to make sure it was properly mixed. I took both glasses in my hands and, after a small thumbs up from Suzy I made my way over to my alpha and his family. I made my footsteps loud enough so the small group of people were alerted of my arrival. " Lisa, we were just talking about you," Lucille said flashing me a warm smile. " Nothing bad I hope" " Of course not. We were telling the count here that he should attend yours and Damien's wedding too" " My cousin is a busy man Lucille " Lucille's alpha Danny said. I looked up to see the vampire by his side staring directly at me. It wasn't the kind of stare that carried a lot of emotion behind it, it was more like a casual glance that barely lasted a minute before his gaze shifted somewhere. I tried introducing myself, maybe later I could manage to hook Suzy up with him, but she seemed captivated by him. " Hi, my name is Lisa" " Prince Adrian Lystone " He doesn't even look at me while saying this. It was enough to tell me that he had no interest in my introductions at all. Pff, such an arrogant prick. " Damien, I brought you a drink" " Wow, thanks babe" Damien accepted the drink from me with an appreciative smile. However, the moment he brought the drink to his lips he paused and stared down at it. I became anxious at his reaction. Could he smell the charm? Did he know what I had done? " Hm, what kind of wine is this?" " That is no wine," The count said. Everyone stared at him stunned, this was the first time he was speaking in a full sentence. Apart from speaking his name he only answered every conversation with a 'hm' and ' Huh'. " Blood," he said. " Well, that explains the smell. Where did you get this babe? " " I. I just took it from one of the waiters" she was shocked and frustrated at the thought that she hadn't sensed the content of the cup was blood. God, now Damien was not going to drink it. But maybe she could still salvage the situation. " How about I go get you another glass?" " I would like that. Thank you" I hurried off to grab a glass of white wine this time. Suzy walked over to me when she noticed my frustration. " What's wrong" " I put the potion into blood" " Blood?" " Yeah, I think the alpha must have had the blood served for the vampire guests " " um, did you leave the glass with Damien," Suzy asked looking passed my shoulders. Her eyes widened in shock " s**t!" " What?" " Damien is giving the glass to someone else!" " What?!" I turned around at such a speed that left me with whiplashes. The scene I saw made my stomach drop. The glass of blood which I had jinxed was now in the hands of prince Adrian. He raised the cup to his lips to drink it. I saw red " No!!" All eyes turned to me as I screamed in horror. It was too late, half of the blood in the glass was gone already. Prince Adrian had drunk my love potion.
