The story of Maria's life is based on true events As she trying to remember the moments of her childhood giving details of true events she lived will be leaving u in tears suspense and wanting to read more and discover how this woman has learned from every experience life has put her though until the moment she lives now . Maria was born in the year 1985 in the city of Mexico.Teresa and Felipe her parents originally from Mexico and Gustavo her brother .Maria couldn't understand why the first years of her life are blank in her head. Her first memory at about age 4 it was drastic as she explains the moment she lived crossing the border of Mexico it was cold hidding from border patrol as they are searching for undocumented people. Hidding Maria and her mother observing from the cracks of plants while her brother scared shaking hugging onto his mother's leg everything so quiet crickets chirping around them minutes had passed and when they thought it was safe danger was over suddenly they all jump to a man pulling the wet weeds flashing a bright light and asking them to step out and detaining them snatching Maria and her brother separating them from their mother both yelling crying to see their mother in handcuffs going a separate direction.Couple days later a woman takes their hands feeling sympathy telling them don't be scared with tears in their eyes the woman starts speaking as to what seemed to be Teresa both kids look up crying letting go of the woman's hand they run to mom and hugged her now all crying. . Trying to remember and questioning herself why these blank memories in her head always made Maria doubt about who she was in reality not understanding why she always got treated differently than her siblings .Growing up being raised by her grandparents Natividad and Isidro Pérez she remembers those were great memories of her being spoiled and always shinning with her red sparkling heels as she loved wizard of Oz and wanted to live the story of Dorothy Gale .known as "Judy Garland" .. Life had many surprises but she always had a positive attitude going to school at times being walked by her father hand to hand. Maria felt like the most special little girl as her two long braids tails hung down her back not being able to tell about the events lived . She sometimes feels as to her not living them due to nothing from the past comes to her memory . Frustration only makes her come to when she is 6 years old and her mother now is about to give birth to a babygirl.Maria lives with her parents Her father working full-time her mother always angry irritated by her pregnancy demanding of Maria to do chores .She couldn't be happy no longer or play or feel loved and spoiled Finally the birth of her baby sister her parents named her Marisela getting to meet Marisela was exciting not knowing nothing of babies at first Maria thought was fun to change a diaper feed a baby but when she realized this wasn't just to help it was mandated for her to help or else she would be hit with a belt or yelled at .Maria just wished she would go back to her grandparents not to say her brother Gustavo was always just quiet playing with hot wheels or taking blame for whatever Maria didn't do right in his mother's eye so she wouldn't get hit .He loved his two sisters but this new baby made Teresa just start treating María worse and her mother suffering from post partum depression had everyone just on the edge .At times her father would get home drunk waking them up to go back to his friend's house and keep drinking. It would be cold nights late but there's nothing they could say Maria and her brother didn't like their father being drunk that would just make him violent. Couple times they heard as he would hit their mother and after would just order pizza to make up for the bad moment passed as if nothing happened. One late night Maria gets called to her living room to play with her uncle.He lived there now as to him struggling with housing he would act at times weird but Maria's parents never really said much. Until one day when Maria was playing in the living room her Uncle being drunk calls Maria to sit next to him as she refuses and he pulls her towards him she never expected him to act like that what was about to happen was the unexpected . With fear Maria's eyes have now tears rolling down her innocent face . Her uncle has his male organ out his jeans half way down his legs demands Maria to do something a girl her age shouldn't do or have to go through not caring that she had tears rolling down her face and looked scared as she begging please stop ..He would ignore her and proceed just telling her it's ok this is what mom and dad do but u can't say anything or else I'll make ur dad hit u being scared she did as he asked when done he would just tell her leave don't say anything she would run as fast as she could to her bedroom hide under blankets ..with fear weeks passed and every night the same abuse would happen to her her brother would feel.hopeless not being able to help and her her mother always in her bedroom just depressed watching tv her baby sister crying nonstop Her parents didn't know of the tragic situation happening behind the 4 walls ...MArias now felt ashamed scared nervous not knowing who to run to .Knowing if she didn't do what her uncle told her he would lie to her father and she would get hit .Her grandparents wouldn't even take her for over nights as Maria wished they would just to get her away she didn't want to feel him close nomore didn't want nights to come she just couldn't understand why does he do this nasty things to her she would cry but couldn't give a explanation so her parents though she was just being jeleouse of her baby sister ... her brother just quiet never being noticed since he would never say much . It was a raining night with thunder and her uncle once again taking advantage of Maria when her father shows up opens front door and sees what was happening he became so angry mad didn't even think twice grabbed Maria's uncle and started beating on him so bad all he would say was Maria provoked me please stop and let me explain Maria cried and cried everyone yelling Maria runs to her bedroom crying her mother blaming her telling her "see what u caused I hope ur dad beats on u for what u did how could u even do things like that " the background of her father telling him to leave or he would kill him made her more scare finally silence in the home as she hears her father open the bedroom door walking in quietly with tears rolling down his face . as she waited for him to yell at her or hit her but instead he sat cried and drank more alcohol . Days went by her father wouldn't say much.he would just blame her mother for not paying attention or keeping his children safe. Her father felt ashamed and didn't want no one in the family to know of what Maria's uncle had done but not once did he mention to Maria .years went by no one saying anything.
