BRIANNA’S POV The scent of smoke still clung to my clothes and I was still breathing heavily as I stood frozen, staring at the ambulance pulling away from the burning hospital. My mother was inside, barely hanging on. The flames behind me roared louder. Everything that had happened told me how quickly life could spiral out of control.
