Chapter one - Burn down
The air was thick with a heavy blanket of smoke. Injured bodies lay scattered around the village cluttering the floor with a layer of death and blood. The ones managing to cling to life were shooting incantations at the White Paladinions. Men of all ages draped with their white hooded cloaks, splattered with the blood of their victims walked around ensuring there was no survivors. Some of these men erecting large crosses ready to crucify their selected victims and burn them to send a message to the neighbouring covens and villages. It was a one sided ambush: a s*******r unprovoked. A young married couple managed to escape along with their newborn baby wrapped up tightly in shrouds of cloth. Their weary legs managed to carry them  away from this horrendous scene and into a forest heavily adorned with tall bare trees and a gentle winters mist in the distance. They staggered on for as long as they could holding tightly to their wounds and the small fragile baby they left to protect. "I think its time my love..." Estella staggered over to an old, dead, hollowed out tree stump and gently slumped down beside it. She adjusted the the peacefully sleeping baby and glanced up to her loving husband Jameson "I could not take another step. I feel faint from blood loss and my lungs are burning as though on fire.". Jameson staggered over to his wife and child clutching tightly to his wound wrapped around the side of his chiselled torso, standing at least 6 feet tall  he towered over them. He ran his hand through his golden hair and even through his agony mustered up his usual endearing smile while crouching down to his little family. He kissed his gorgeous baby girl on her forehead and looked to Estella who had tears pouring down the soft, fair skin of her cheeks and brushed back her silky golden locks before kissing the tears away one by one. They sat for just a moment taking in the crisp cold air. The darkness of the evening had begun to draw in upon them and it was a bitterly cold evening indeed. "My sweet I think we should do this now while we still have the strength. In my heart, my soul and my very core I believe it is the right thing to do. We will do it just as we discussed." With that said he struggled up to his feet and took off his jacket laying it down onto the frosty ground; each strand of grass coated in its own shell of white, crispy frost that crunched beneath the weight of his heavy black jacket. He stretched out his hand down to Estella and pulled her up then took their baby and placed her down gently on top of his jacket. "I know this is the right thing to do Jameson but i don't know if I am ready to do this. It seems so final. She's out little gir-" "Yes shes our little girl my love that's why we have to do this binding spell. So that if these witch killing, White paladinion b****ds dare to keep hunting our kind she wont be harmed, they will think she is just another regular human. As for the cloaking spell dare anyone try to trace her because of her lineage it will be near impossible. The potential she holds is a secret we will take to our graves!" He interrupted. He took a small wooden handled carving knife from his pocket and sliced a small diagonal line across their palms and joined hands while reciting the incantations, a harsh wind swept through the air knocking their already frail bodies to the ground with a harsh thump. Estella then began to drag her limp injured body to the hollowed out tree stump leaving a train of blood behind and collapsed ensuring she didn't hurt the baby Jameson had just handed back to her. Her loving husband knelt down beside them and kissed his still peacefully sleeping baby on top of her wispy, ruby red hair and divulged how much he truly loved the both of them with his whole heart while silent tears trickled down his face before slumping down next to Estella. Heartbroken, Estella followed actions similar to her husbands then proceeded to place the baby inside the hollowed out tree. "Once we die, I pray to the gods she will be safe in there until someones stumbles upon us" "It wont be long my love there's a near by wolf pack and people pass through here all the time, now bring yourself over here and lets get comfortable for the long-hall. Lets take in one last sunset together no White paladinions will bother to pass through here. "  Together they watched for a while until all their energy had evaporated, Estella buried her face into Jamesons broad chest and wept silently while he nuzzled his face into her hair and they waited for the inevitable blackness to take over. "I love you and I have loved every single moment of my life with you..." But before he could finish his sentence to Estella he felt her release her final breath, followed by her body becoming completely limp. He held her tightly and sat back for his own final breath while praying for his daughters safety.
