THE CHILD SHE CHOSE

This is a story of how My Grandma's Favouritism and selfish actions impacted my life and and my cousins. My Grandma, a mother of three and ten Grandchildren had three grandchildren living with her(two boys and a girl) of which their names are: Jenrola, Lawumi and Ayoola. Jenrola Owoye, a tall dark skinned boy with striking resemblance to my late Grandpa and his father was the Apple of My Grandma's Eye because of his Father- Adeagbo Owoye. Adeagbo Owoye is a business tycoon who rose in status due to his sister's great influence- Adewunmi Olaitan Adeagbo Owoye is married with four children(Jenrola is the first child of the four). Adeagbo is the second child of my Grandma and the very beginning of her favouritism due to various reasons: His prevailent intelligence and diligence from childhood, his strict obedience and his introverted character singled him out as special in the eyes of Grandma. He climbed the ladder of success through his Elder Sister and her Husband but due to his own greed and selfishness, he refused to help others as they were seen as beneath him, even his own sister when she was in dire need of financial assistance. As the favourite of Grandma, she never saw anything wrong with his actions even though she's aware of his elder sister's financial struggle. He instead strictly advised his siblings to seek Spiritual means of help as he did. His words to his siblings are"I CAN'T GIVE ANYBODY MY MONEY, MY SWEAT. MY LABOUR, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO SUCEED AND WANT ME TO SHOW YOU THE ROUTE TO SUCESS, I CAN!".
