Love Faces Off

Chapter 14

The night was everything the two of them could have dreamed of. The restaurant was indeed set up to guarantee patron privacy. It was comprised of private booths that were like their own private room, complete with curtains that could be pulled if needed. There was soft lighting that allowed people in the booth to see each other but those in other areas of the restaurant couldn’t see into the booth. It had a salsa band that played. Should a couple want to venture into the view of others, there was a small dance floor set up. Raegan and Nick spent the evening snuggled up in the booth feeding each other in between kisses. When at last the meal was over and dessert long been forgotten along with the cold coffee, Raegan slid out of the booth and stared down at Nick.

“Dance with me.” She held her hand out to Nick

“Are you sure? People will see us” He said taking her hand.

“Let them. I want to dance with my Greek god and I want everyone to see that he is mine.”

Nick loved the sound of that. They made their way to the dance floor. There were a few other couples but Nick only seen Raegan. They began with a slow ballad. Their bodies swaying together. Then the band broke into a faster number meant for a salsa. Raegan grinned as she broke free of his hold to begin a sexy sway of her hips. Nick was very pleasantly surprised. He quickly caught onto her rhythms and joined in . The dance was fast paced but seductive. It ended with Raegan bent back and her leg wrapped around Nick’s hip. They received a around of applause from the diners they couldn’t see. Raegan had not realized they were the only ones on the dance floor.

As Nick righted her she said, “Let’s go home.”

Nick gave her a deep kiss, “My pleasure, Angel.”

They walked out of the restaurant hand in hand to climb in the waiting town car. Nick hesitated before climbing in. He looked around in the shadows.

Raegan called to him from inside the car, “Is everything ok?”

“Yeah, I just got this feeling I was being watched.” He answered as he climbed in.

“Well, the whole restaurant just watched us dance.” She said with a smile

Nick climbed in and pulled her on his lap.

“It was a different feeling from that. Probably nothing.”

It was late when they neared the hotel but not so late to guarantee them privacy. They agreed to drop Nick off at the coffee house where he would walk to the hotel. Raegan would exit in front of the lobby. This would make it appear that they were coming in at different times. Raegan got out of the car and thanked the driver. As she walked into the lobby she was surprised to see Andre Cluck on one of the couches. She tried to walk by unseen but no such luck.

Andre sat up and said, “Hey, you just getting back in?”

Raegan could smell the alcohol on his breath, clearly he had returned to the bar after the cocktail party.

“Yeah, just getting back. I’m beat so just going to head up to my room.”

She turned to head toward the elevator. Andre grabbed her wrist.

“Why don’t you come back to my room?” He slurred. “I could help you over come your Ice Queen issues.”

“I don’t think so. Let me go, please.”

She tried to pull her arm free but he tightened his grip. It was becoming painful.

“You would have a good time. I guarantee it.” He continued.

Raegan tried not to panic, “You’re hurting me. Let me go!”

Nick was instantly by her side. She hadn’t even heard him walk up. He grabbed André’s wrist to break his hold on Raegan. With a twist Andre was kneeling on the floor in pain.

Nick trying to control his rage shouted “Don’t ever touch her again! Or I will see to it that hand never holds a stick again!”

“Easy man. Just trying to help the lady have some fun.”

Nick put his hand on her back to guide her toward the elevator just as security came to help Andre up.

“See that Mr. Cluck gets to his room and doesn’t harass anyone else.” Nick told the guards.

Once they were in the elevator, Raegan began to shake. Nicked lifted her into his arms. She buried her head into his neck.

Nick tried to smooth her, “Its ok, Angel. You are ok. I’m here, you are safe.”

“Thank you. Nick?”

“Yes?”

“Make love to me tonight. All night.”

And that is just what they did.
