"Can you say that again?" Alexander asked me, his eyes lighting up. He was now standing very close to me.
His expectant gaze would have made me laugh my heart out at any other time but not this time. I was more focused on making him know how much I loved him. How much he meant to me.
I tried to say the words again but I couldn't find my voice. Disappointed, my eyes dropped to the floor staring at nothing. That moment, Alexander lifted my chin up, gazing at me.
"I understand my love. Don't you give me that sad look." He said, caressing my chin. "Hearing you say the words brought an indescribable feeling to my heart. I swear to love and protect you, with or without your voice."
