"What do you mean missing?" Alexander asked. He was as alarmed as I was.
If the knife was missing, the rogues could have gotten it, it could be in the wrong hands and it could cause more trouble. Since Alexander had confirmed my fears that the knife was attracting the rogues, only the goddess knows what would happen if it got into another person's possession.
