Alexander's POV
Spent most of my time rolling round the bed. I had planned to have Khloe in my arms through the night but McCarthy destroyed my plans. I was thinking of just one thing. How did he know I was on to him? Or even any of the Harbingers in the academy?
There's definitely no snitch in my pack . Was it the king's secretary? Was he there when I called? Was that how he found out about my plans? Was that his way of covering up? Too many overwhelming questions that had no answers.
As for the king's secretary and the answer to the questions I was asking, I could easily get all that tomorrow when I speak with the king. I definitely do not want to disturb a king's sleep.
I was disturbed that McCarthy could have so easily been a part of us and I didn't suspect. He was that slippery.
