Prologue
I had a "perfect" relationship they say, or so they thought.
Can't blame them for thinking that way. I had a relationship and we've been together for 4 years without a single break up.
If I were in their place I would also fall from our so-called "perfect" relationship.
In our 4 years in relationship, it was like 4 years in drama. No real love, no real care.
We acted like we're in love infront of people but when the show is done, the act is also done. We've been living like this for the past 4 years.
I don't know when it started, we naturally fell out of love.
If you're wondering why we chose to not break up despite of all that, it's because of our personal gain. We were like a model couple in school. Being popular means center of attention, being looked up and all.
We took advantage of that and agreed to break up after our last year in senior high school.
After we broke up, it just felt like ending a meaningless contract.
___
Since our separation, I've been in a couple of relationships and none of them lasted a month.
There's nothing special in any of my past relationships. They either wants a rebound or just wants someone to toy with and I just joined their shenanigans.
Because of that, I never believed in love.
Love is just an excuse to fill the void in one selves.
They care, they said. Love is precious, they said. But in the end love is the one who hurts us.
__
But all that changed when I met her.
After I met her... I hated love even more.
