Chapter 1

Rogues were not accepted in my pack. We would consider the odd lone wolf, but rogues were never welcomed, they didn't deserve protection as far as I was concerned.  But they never stopped them asking to be allowed into our pack. And the three in front of me were no concern. "Each of you has one chance to tell me what you think you would bring to my pack, after that I'll kill you." The members holler and cheer upon hearing this. "Come on, speak up, I don't have all day." The three women looked at each other. All in their mid 20's. All three linked holding hands. "I am a hybrid, werewolf by my father, witch and vampire by my mother. I can offer abilities and skill like no other." the blonde spoke with confidence. The pale skin and dark eyes gave away the vampire detail. Vampire are usually beautiful, far superior to any other supernatural species. "I to am a hybrid, werewolf by my mother, but my father is a warlock. We combine together our powers, and we are quite talented." The red head laughed and her blue eyes shone at someone in the crowd.  "Well, that certainly changes things for you two. And you?" I sneer at the last one. Her brunette hair blowing softly in the wind as her green and orange eyes lock on me. "What can you offer me." She grinned at me before speaking, "I can show you better than I can tell you." I raised my eyebrow at her and nodded, not sure of where she was going with this.  And she shifted in front of all our eyes. But instead of growing like other were wolves, and even skin walkers, her form shrunk. And in place of her human form, stood a fluffy black fox. The werewolf/warlock hybrid held our her arms to her, and the fox elegantly jumped, resting her head on the hybrids shoulders, whilst the other looked up.  "Well, f**k me, I certainly wasn't expecting that." My Beta mumbled next to me. I could feel the amber eyes of the fox staring at me, I knew why the hybrids held her in this form. One wrong move from a werewolf and she would be physically crushed. Whilst werewolves dwarfed regular wolves, foxes in her state were slightly small than a regular fox. I could see the white tip of her tail slowly wagging in the wind. "Beta, get the fox some clothes so she can shift back. I will see the three of you in my office shortly." "Yes, Alpha." ***** The three of them sat silently, the hybrids full attention was on me, the fox, however, seemed to be struggling to focus. I wasn't quite sure if it was my Beta she was looking at strangely, or a picture on my wall. I decided to save her the embarrassment. "It's a beautiful place isn't it." "Did you take it?" She asked, her eyes narrowing as she continued to stare at the picture. "Now, why would you ask me that?" My tone came out slightly more vicious than intended. She turned her head to look at me. "The village the other side of the hill is where I grew up. An alpha came and tried to skin me." The atmosphere was frozen in the room, but with one last look at the photo she turned around and radiated a beaming smile at my Beta and I. "Well, that's enough of that, I'm guessing we're here to discuss not getting murdered?"  Marco, my Beta, laughed his deep laugh. "Well, let's start with introductions. I'm the Beta, Marco, and this as you maybe aware, is our Alpha, Blue."  The blonde hybrid took over the talking, "I'm Melissa, this is Frankie," She pointed to the red head, "And that's Keegan." All three of them smiled. "And I'm guessing you're willing to accept us, but need away to either tie us to the pack, or prove that we will be loyal?" I was only half listening, I could see Marco staring at Keegan, he was drooling, and she was cowering under his gaze.  "You're correct on both counts, however, Marco, why don't you go and get us something to eat?" He didn't come out his trance until I slapped him in his head. "Yes, I'll go grab some food." he left with one long lingering look at the fox. I wasn't sure if she was toxic or intoxicating, but she seemed to be straddling that fine line.  "I think we may have made a mistake." Frankie looked at me. "Look, we're sorry to have wasted your time Alpha Blue, but the reason we're running is because we can't have Keegan in anymore danger than she's already in, being a fox. And whilst you're fighting the pull foxes have over wolves, even your beta is struggling." "Are you unmated, Alpha Blue?" Melissa c****d her head to one side? "Why would you even ask me that question?" "No one would touch a mated and marked fox, especially if it was to an Alpha." "His bite would kill me, but you two are both unmated, instead of offering me for sacrifice." Her snappy tone brought us all out of our thoughts. "I'm just saying, a fox and an Alpha have never mated. And it would solve our problems. We'd have a home, we could do some good, and I wouldn't constantly have to stress what is going to happen to you." "I'm unmated too." Marco had come back with a plate of sandwiches. "What about me Fox, I'd be happy to have you." His fangs began to protrude as he lent into her, the hybrids standing in front of her. - Breeze, can you come and get our three guests, I think we may be about to have some issues. - I mind linked my sister. No response came but I could smell her as she came closer to the door.  "Hi, I'm Breeze, I hope you don't mind but we only have one room prepared for you at the moment, I'll bring the sandwiches." The three of them raced out of the door without so much as a goodbye.
