Once the soap was in and the water was running, I washed my face and ducked into the water closet to take care of my situation. This would be the most difficult two and a half days of my life. Juniper was fantastic. All of her reactions were perfect.
I went back to make sure the temperature was comfortable. It was just right. When I turned off the water, I headed back to the bedroom.
Juniper was on the phone, facing away from the bathroom. I waited for her to finish the call, in case it was about the research she had the girls on. The quiet in the room made what she said easily heard.
