Anger replaced the sadness I felt about seeing Brett die. We would have our chance to mourn him, but right now I wanted revenge. Revenge for my injured mate and revenge for Brett, who didn’t deserve to die so young and certainly not like that.
The asšhole lycan chuckled when he saw me running towards him, angering me further and pushing me to go faster. When I was approaching him, he swung, but to both his and my surprise, it never made contact with my body since it was extremely slow, allowing me to dodge the hit. I briefly looked towards the witch that was healing my mate, finding her smiling. When she nodded, I understood that she had my back, giving me a chance at really winning this shīt.
