Chapter fifteen

Emily:

“What?”. I ask confused.

“Baby I think your a hybrid and not just any hybrid. A Fay ”. He smiles at me. The vines drop from around Sarah and she steps out of them.

“Crazy b***h”. She yells.

“I did that?”. I ask.

“Yes. You don’t remember?”. He directs me over to the chair.

“Well I remember coming in here and seeing Sarah naked then everything kinda went green. I know it sounds weird. I could hear her talk about f*****g you and the more she spoke the more upset and angry I got. Then it’s like I heard these little voices talking to me. Offering me help. I don’t know how but I felt like I could trust them”.

“Baby. They were the plants. They were communicating with you. Your must be part earth Fay. Very rare to have a werewolf, Fay hybrid.

“Earth Fay? What’s an Earth Fay?”. I ask him.

“Um excuse me?”. We both look over a the still naked Sarah. “She just tried to kill me. Punish her. NOW!”. She stamps her foot.

“SARAH! Give it up. I am not your mate and I do not want you. I tried to let you down softly but this is getting ridiculous. Get dress and get out now! I do not what to see your face and you better be gone tomorrow. I do not want to have to punish you but I will if I have to”. She looks over at me an growls.

“You b***h. I will get you for this. You better watch your back”. I stand up.

“Are you threatening me?”. I can hear the voices of the plants again. My vision goes green and the vines start to left. Sarah looks over at them and runs out of the room.

“Wow. What happened in here?”. Sams standing at the door looking over at the vines covering the floor.

“My beautiful mate is a Fay hybrid”. Joseph says proudly.

“Amazing! That’s super rare. Fay don’t really like to deal with wolfs. I mean we have an alliance with them but they like to avoid dealing with us if and when possible. We annoy them”.

“Ok what’s a Fay?”. I ask again.

“Oh sorry. Fays are fairfolk. So like pixies and fairies. By the look of this mess your definitely a fairy. An a very strong one at that.”

“Could that have something to do with my eyes changing colour?”.

“What?”. Joseph raises his eyebrow at me.

“The day of my eighteen birthday my eyes changed from blue to green. Alice actually said she needed to talk to me about that yesterday but I haven’t seen her since”.

“I think we should go and find her.” Joseph states.

“Well why you guys do that Jess and I are heading into town to get a few supplies. We only have a few hours until you announce the new Alpha.”

“Sounds like a plan”. Sam heads out and I follow Emily outside and down the hill into a little food garden. Next to it is shed

“This is the only gardening William would let Alice do. He basically told her to stay down here so she wasn’t up here bother me. As he called it”.

“Alice! Are you down here?”.

“Emily! I was hoping to see you soon”. She smiles. “Oh your highness. Welcome to my little home”.

“You live down here?”. He asks her.

“Yes but it was better then living up there with him”. She smiles at my mate. “Now what brings you 2 love birds down here?”.

“Actually I was wondering what you wanted to talk to me about yesterday morning.”

“Yes we had a little incident up at the house and we’ve come to the conclusion that Emily is a Fay hybrid. Did you know?”.

“That is part of what I wanted to talk to you about yesterday. After your eyes changed colour on your birthday. I had a massive feeling about something but I had to check my books first. Did you know that William had a younger half sister?” I shook my head. “ Her name was Ariel and she was the prettiest thing you would have ever seen. Red hair just like yours bright blue eyes. So Williams mum wasn’t Alpha Williams real mate. She was a chosen mate as Alpha Mark had given up on finding his mate. Everyone knew that. Even though he took her as his mate he never gave up hope on finding his real one.

I was only a wee girl at the time but I remember one day hearing crying at the door. When I opened it there was the most cutest baby ever laying in a basket made of flowers that smelt like mint. I dragged her in and brought her to the Alpha. It turned out she was his. Left here by her mother. The Luna was not happy and demanded he get rid of her, but he refused. She was raised along side William as much as he hated her. When she turned 18 she grew her wolf like any other werewolf would but like you her eyes changed colours and she started getting these powers. She could control nature.

Me being curious asked her about it, as we had grown to be quite close and she told me she found out her mother was fay. Then one day she was gone. Everyone thought William finally killed her as he was worried she would become Alpha as she was much stronger then him. Not long after her disappearance the Alpha stopped talking about her. I think he was heart broken. She was definitely his favourite. The day that William found you I thought I saw her running through the woods. At the time I thought it was my imagination but now finding out your Part Fay. I think she might have been your mother.”

“My mother? If she left why did she come back? And if William hated her so much why would she leave me here? And who is my father”.

“ I don’t know anything else I’m sorry.”

“Baby we don’t know if she left you here. For all we know William did something to her for passing through his territory. Maybe the reason she left in the first place is she found her mate in another pack”.

“William would know. I want to talk to him”.

“Baby I’m not sure if that’s such a good idea.”

“I don’t care. He knows something and what ever he knows I want to know”. I say firmly.

“Ok but we’ll have to do it tomorrow. Unfortunately we’re running out of time today”. I nod in agreement.

“Are you coming up to the meeting and the announcement of the new Alpha?”. Joseph asks Alice.

“I wouldn’t miss it. I’ll come up just before 5”.

Hand in hand we head back up to the pack house.

“Baby are you ok with Michael becoming Alpha?”. Joseph asks me

“Umm… I don’t know”. I say quietly . “Do you really he’ll be a better Alpha then William?”.

“I do. We sat do with him and some of the pack members and came to the conclusion that William was controlling them”.

“How?”.

“Alpha commands. When an Alpha commands something the receiver of the command has no choice to obey”.

“And you think that’s what happened with Michael?”. I whisper.

“I really do. He actually asked me if you could have the opportunity to apologise to you, but I told him maybe it would be best to wait for now. I just wanted you to know as I would like you to be standing up there next to me when I tell everyone the news but if you can’t I understand”.

The thought of confronting Michael was scary but if I was going to be queen I had to face my fears. With Joseph by my side I feel like I could do anything. He gives me strength and makes me feel like as long as I’m with him I can face the world and anything that’s thrown at us.

“No I would like to. Ever since I found you I’m feeling like I can do just about anything. I’m ready to face anything as long as I besides you”.
