Chapter 10

Emily:

I had that dream again. But this time it felt so much more real. I felt Like I could reach out and touch her. Opening my eyes the light peers through the curtains. s**t! I’m late so late. I throw myself off the bed. My mate grabs my arm before I have a chance to hurry away.

“Where do you think your going?”. He mumbles drowsy.

“To work. I am running so late”. My mate giggles at me.

“ Hunny”. The way he says hunny almost makes me melt into a puddle. “You don’t have to work anymore. Well not at the moment anymore. Take this time as a holidays”. He uses his strength to pull me back into bed and snuggles into me. “ On the other hand I have heaps of work today and should probably get up”. I whimper as he pulls away from me. He smiles. “I’m sorry hunny but I do have heaps to do today. My sisters going to take you shopping though remember?”. I open my eyes wide. I’ve never been shopping before. I wonder what a shop looks like. “I have a few meetings today and I’m going to be doing a training session with some of you pack members to work out who’s the strongest so we can start looking at forming a team of warriors”. He states as he starts going through the draws looking for some clothes.

“ Oh yeah shopping.” I hope I didn’t sound as nervous as I felt when I said that “ Daphnes strong and she’s a really good fighter. I’ve seen her in a training session before while ive been hanging out washing. So is Grant. I think Grant might already be a warrior but I don’t think Daphne is. Alpha William didn’t really like any females leaving the pack house. They were allowed to train in case of emergencies but not allow to go on patrol.”

“Thanks I’ll keep an eye out for those 2. Anyone else you think?”. I nervously convert my eyes as Joseph starts changing in from of me.

“Mmm. Jess is pretty strong. She was the previous betas daughter. Oh and Alex her twin brother”. I look over just in time to get a glimpse of my mates 6 pack as he pulls his shirt down.

“What did happen to the previous beta?” He asks as he does up his belt.

“ Not really sure. No one is. Him and his wife left to go travelling but that was like 4 years ago now and no ones heard from them since. Not even they’re kids”. My mates eyes clear over.

“Em someone’s bringing you up some breakfast and my sister will be here soon with something for you to wear so you ladies can go to the shops. I really have to go but I promise I’ll see you later”. I nod. He gives me a kiss on the forehead before he leaves.

Breakfast was amazing. I’ve never had someone make me breakfast before. I’m so stuffed although to others it may look like I haven’t eaten very much at all.

There’s a loud knock at the door.

“Hello?” A sweet voice calls out. “ I’m Louise. Joseph’s little sister. May I come in?”.

“Yes”. I manage to muster. I hop out of bed putting the tray of leftover breakfast on the top of the Chester draws. Standing in front of me is the most gorgeous lady I’ve ever seen. Her brown hair is plated neatly with a few strands hanging by her ears. Her eyes are ocean blue and she’s dressed in a pink crop top with denim short shorts. She radiates confidents.

“Hi. I’m so happy to finally meet you”. She smiles at me. “ When my brother called me to tell me he found his mate I was like finally someone I can go shopping with” she laughs. “Which is funny since the first thing we are actually doing together is going shopping”. I can’t help but smile along with her. “ I’m so excited to finally have a sister!”. She pulls me in for a hug. Without thinking I hug her back. “ Today is going to be so much fun!”. She whistles and a guy comes around the corner carrying a suit case. He sits it on the bed then leaves. “ So I wasn’t sure what of mine would look good on you so I thought I would just bring everything here so you can try on whatever you want. But now looking at you I’m thinking a mini skirt and crop top. You have such an amazing figure”. She opens the suitcase and starts throwing clothes everywhere. I can’t stop smiling at her. She picks up a checked pink and black mini skirt and a plain black crop top. “Here. Try these on”. She looks pleased with herself as I head into the bathroom. Once dressed I look at myself in the mirror. Wow. I actually look good. These clothes exaggerate all my best features. I brush my hair and put it in a pony tail before heading out to meet Louise.

“Wow! Those clothes look better on you then they do me!”. I blush.

“Thankyou and Thankyou for letting me borrow your clothes.”

“That’s no problem at all. That’s what sisters are for. Now are you ready to shop till you drop?”. I look at her confused.

“I’m sorry I don’t know what you mean by that”. She giggles.

“It’s just a saying girls sometimes say when there about to do a big shop. Don’t worry if you feel like your about to drop well stop what we’re doing and head straight back here”.
