Chapter nine

After all the meetings with blood moon pack members and sorting out the arrive of some more of my men I’m exhausted. I look up at the clock. f**k Its almost dinner time. I missed lunch which means Emily probably did to. I head up to our room to check on her and see her peaceful sleeping in bed. God is gorgeous. I’m not gonna wake up her up since I’m pretty sure she could do with the sleep. I mindlink Sam asking him to bring me some dinner. I’ve still got more work to do . I would love to take my mate and queen back to my pack but I really can’t leave his pack in the shape it is. So the sooner I get it shorted the better. I call Sam and my gamma Luke in for a meeting.
“Ok so the 3 of us today have had multiple meetings with members from the pack. What are we thinking?”. I ask them.
“Well from what I’ve gather from some of the Omegas they’ve been treated unfair compared to the higher ups. Not as bad as poor Emily but not good either. William threatened them everyday with exiled from the pack if things weren’t done to his standards. They were never allowed to leave the attic unless they were ordered to cleans room and They were only allowed left overs. I’ve been up to the attic and most of them are sleeping on blankets on the floor”. Luke says. “I’ve organised them rooms in the pack house for now.” I nod.
“I spoke more to the beta and gamma. I think that William has definitely been abusing his Alpha power. The more I talk to them the more I realise that I don’t think they realised what they were doing half the time. They said they always felt like they were in some sort of trance and even if they didn’t want to do something they somehow ended up doing it anyway”.
“Hmmm definitely sounds like they were in a power loop. What do you think about Micheal Sam? You’ve spent the most time talking to him?”.
“ I honestly think the bloke is sorry about everything that has happened and I believe he could possible make a great Alpha with some guidance of course.” I nod my head in agreement. Dread all of a sudden consumes me. Something something doesn’t feel right.
Mates in danger!
I dart upstairs with Sam and Luke following on my heels. I opened my bedroom door to find Emily gone. I turn to boys.
“We need to fine her. Now”. I ordered. After running though the house and having no luck we gather my men. I take the north while Sam takes east, Luke west and some of my men take south. We both have 3 men each with us. We all shift and head into the forest. If I wasn’t in such panic for mate I would really be enjoying this run. The trees are different to the ones we have at home and almost have this sweet smell to them. They glow in the light of the moon. Almost magical.
Sir. We think we’ve caught her scent.
Oh thank god.
Don’t thank us yet sir. We also caught the scent of some vampires. Seems like they might be on her tail.

I redirect my men and we start heading south. Please be ok.
As we race through the forest the rotten smell gets worst and even worst it’s mixed with the scent of my mate. Please please be ok.
Standing behind the trees I see the outline of my mates cute little butt. It’s covered ever so slightly by a massive shirt. My men have already surround the vampires so I jump in front of my mate giving off a warning growl telling them to back off. The vampires take off towards the north with a few of my men following behind them. I look up at my terrified mate. The smell from the shirt is starting to mask her scent and I hate it. I mindlink my men telling them to head back to the house and Emily and I follow behind them. As soon as we make it back to the clearing around the house we all head behind the trees to collect our clothes and shift back.
“ I’m sorry”. Emily whispers to me avoiding my eye contact. “It’s just my wolf wanted to go for a run and I said maybe we should tell you but she said we didn’t need to since we wouldn’t be gone long”.
“ I’m not mad at you. I just wish you had told me and I would have come with you. Alpha and I would have loved to come with you”. Her eyes widen at the mention of my wolf.
“ Now let’s get that shirt off you. I don’t like my mate smelling like another male. Especially a vampire”. My mate blushes. I lead her back upstairs so she can have a shower. Since I still don’t have any clothes for her I give her one of my shirts for bed and a pair of new boxers I haven’t worn yet.
“Are you hungry? I can get someone to prepare something while your in the shower?”.
“No it’s ok. I don’t want to be any trouble. I’m not that hungry anyway”. My mate goes into the bathroom and closes the door behind her.
Sam?
Yes sir?
Can you please get someone to make Emily breakfast tomorrow morning for as soon as she wakes up? Make sure it’s big.
If my mates not going to have dinner, and I know she didn’t have lunch then she is definitely getting a big breakfast tomorrow.
Yeah no problem sir. Did you still want to speak to William tomorrow? We currently have him locked up the the cell down stairs?
Yes. My sister is taking Emily shopping tomorrow so I’ll go down then. I don’t want her to be here in cass something happens. Let’s see how he likes spending the night in the cold ass cells.

Also we will announce the new Alpha tomorrow afternoon. But I’m thinking we might still need to stay until this vampire situation is handled. The way this pack has been run there’s no way they will be able to handle it by themselves. We can not leave the pack members unprotected. It’s not there fault there Alpha hasn’t been handling things well.
Yes sir. This pack doesn’t seem to have many warriors so I was thinking tomorrow we can have a training session go pin point the strongest members and go from there.
That sounds like a good idea. Make it around lunch time? I would like to watch.
Yes sir.
I close my mindlink just in time for my mate. Wow she looks so hot in my clothes. I can feel myself getting hard. Nope keep it together. We have to take this slow, I don’t want to scare her away.
“Ready for bed?”. She nods her head and slides in next to me. I just want to move closer to her but I know it’s to soon.
“Joseph?”. My mates looked at me.
“Yes?”.
“Today with the vampires they said they were looking for some girl and asked me if I knew her and when I shifted back they stated that I looked like her?”.
I sit up in bed.
“What like the girl there looking for?”.
“ I don’t know. They said they didn’t know what the girl looked like just that she could have blue or green eyes and then they said I looked like her. But I don’t know who they mean by her?”.
“ I wouldn’t know either. Maybe they think you look like someone they know? ” Not that I totally believe that but I don’t want my mate to worry.
“Maybe. I just thought you should know. Good night.”. She rolls over onto her side.
My eyes get heavy and my mind races as I stare at my mate who’s already falling asleep.
Is my mate the girl there looking for?
