Chapter twenty six
Joseph: We pull up to the palace. I watch Emily’s eyes light up as she looks at how big it is. “Wow! It’s so much bigger then I imagined. How many people live here?”. She asks. “Most of the pack. It’s safer if we’re all in one place. A few members live in the town but most choose to stay at the palace”. I say. I get out of the car straightening up my suit. I see my mother waving at me. I put my hand out for Emily to grab. She smiles weakly as I help her out of the car. I can tell she’s really nervous. She’s practically shaking. “You have nothing to worry about”. I whisper to her. She straightens herself up and we walk slowly up to my mother holding hands. “My boy. Your finally back”. My mother places a kiss on my cheek. “Mother. I would like you to meet my mate Emily”. “Hello”.
