My name is Samantha Knight. I'm 17 years old and my father is Victor Knight and my mother is Vascarra Knight. My father is the beta of the Black Moon pack. He is best friend with Alpha Alexander and Luna Kate. I am best friends with their daughter Sonya and have a huge crush on their son, our soon to be Alpha, Blake. He is 19 and still hasn't found his mate yet. I'm secretly praying he is my mate but I won't admit that to Sonya just because he is her older brother. I'm not the most popular girl in the pack by any means but I have a decent amount of friends. I have long black hair that reaches my butt and unique eyes. They are a silvery purple. I catch boys attention but I don't really care. The only one I want to catch the attention of is Blake and on Friday when I finally turn 18 I hope that is exactly what's happens. You see when a werewolf turns 16 we meet our wolf. And when we turn 18 we can meet our mates. Our other halfs that the moon goddess chose just for us. Most cherish the mate bond but some reject it. I met my wolf Delilah when I was 15 though. She is a beautiful pure white wolf and we keep the silvery purple eyes. When my parents saw me after I shifted for the first time, they got spooked and asked me to not shift in front of anyone but them. I have been confused but I obey. So when we do pack runs and stuff like that I always have to come up with an excuse on why I can't. "Sam hurry up!! We are going to be late getting to the mall! We have to find the perfect outfit for your birthday party Friday!" Sonya yelled at me. "I'm coming!" I yelled back. Sonya loves shopping and she can't wait to dress me up in something special for when I meet my mate. She's hoping it's Friday at my party. My party is going to be big this year because it also falls on the same weekend when we are hosting visiting Alphas for a treaty renewal. As I'm walking down the stairs I start thinking to myself. What if my mate isn't part of my pack? What if he is a visiting Alpha, or soon to be Alpha? I would have to leave everything behind and start new. "Hello? Are you even hearing a word I said?" Sonya huffed. "Sorry Sonya. I was off in my own little world again." I reply. "Still worrying your mate won't be from our pack?" she asked seriously. I looked around at all my friends in the car. "Yea a little bit. I don't want to leave any of you. We all grew up together and..." I let my sentence trail off. Sonya, Debbie and Grace all look at me and smile. "Even if that happens, we will come visit." Grace said. "Nothing can tear the 4 of us apart." Debbie replied. The car came to a halt and I realized we were here at the mall already. "Alright! Enough with the sad worries." Sonya told us. "Let's get this girl the best birthday outfit she has ever had!" I looked around at the three of them and thought to myself "I really have the three best friends a girl could ask for." "Yes you do." I heard Delilah in my head. "But something big is coming. I don't know exactly what it is but we just need to be prepared." "What are you talking about Delilah?" I questioned. "I don't know. I just have a feeling Friday is going to be more than just our birthday." is all she replied before she retreated back inside my mind. I wasn't sure whether to be excited or worried but I didn't want to upset the girls so I pretended Delilah didn't just give me some cryptic information and focused on trying to find a killer birthday outfit that was going to make my mates mouth drop.
