PART 1:
Prologue 1: 21st February 2016 - Sangam Hospital, New Delhi, India.
On the dark day of 21st February 2016 Mannar heard the news from her doctor. The gist of the allusive talk was that she was going to die and soon. The doctor agreed sympathetically that she may not even celebrate her eighteenth birthday which would be coming in two months. Well, Mannar didn’t know how to react to it. She laughed at first. Mannar, as any young girl from India, was bubbly and filled with desires of her vibrant future. However, as her grandmother would say, fate was to have it its way by denying her the joy of adult livelihood. Mannar, initially thought everything as a big joke, but then slowly things started to fall together. She was going to die, that is, forever. She is not going to achieve anything spectacular, she is not going to fall in love, get married and have her own family and children. She is simply going to perish like a withered summer dry leaf. Mannar was infected with multiple myeloma which was in the final stage. There was no hope for her. Mannar, after realizing this, became traumatized and started to exhibit her temper on each and everyone she came across. She cursed her fate, she cursed unseen gods, she cursed herself – but none would come to her aid.
Then, one fine morning, sitting in her special ward of Sangam Hospital, New Delhi, Mannar read an article from the newspaper. Although she couldn't comprehend the complete information, she understood the fact that dying people (especially from cancer for which cure was unavailable) can be cryopreserved and in future, that is, when advanced generation finds a cure for it, the same can be resurrected. Mannar was so titillated with the idea that, she began to feel better than before. Mannar begged her parents and doctors to cryo-preserve her so that she can come alive in future. However, soon she found that the process of cryo-preservation is too expensive for them to afford. This very fact began to stir a lot of emotions in her and in one such emotional turmoil; Mannar wrote an email to the President of India, begging him to rescue her from the deadly clutches of death.
As a matter of fact, the President of India, normally doesn't read the email from the common populace. Luckily, on the night of twenty third February, as the Karma did smile on Mannar, the President of India happen to login into his account personally and found the Mannar’s e-mail on top of his spam email list. Although all times, his assistant would clear all the spams for President, today, being not well-enough, he had taken the leave and the President, having a bad habit of reading spams, opened the email sent from Mannar. The President was so moved by her email that, he immediately made up his mind to help people like Mannar and an hour later, he directed the Prime Minister of India to grant funds needed for cryo-preservation of selected five young adults from India. Mannar from Delhi became one of the five lucky. One month later, things began to happen. Mannar in her nearly comatose state was informed about her granted wish and next procedures by her parents. Mannar barely able to hold any more, broadly smiled at them and closed her eyes for the last time.
Prologue 2: 23rd February 2017 – Maximos Mansion, Athens, Attica, Greece.
Leonidas, in short, called as Leon, being the son of popular Prime Minister ‘His Excellency Lasonas’ was a tough young boy. He was well versed in all aspects, such like culture, sports, drama and now in military too. Leon enjoyed the highest possible attention that he got because of his father. Being nearly seven feet tall and with an equal appropriate physical attributes, Leon was the most handsome and lusted guy in Greece. Although the common populace loved him, they sympathized him more for a rather other reason. Leon had everything. He had a rich and popular father. He had all the money he needed. He had a wonderful family of two loving young sisters and father. He had a good sports career ahead of him. He had good profile as a young and upcoming actor. He had well mannerisms like his mother.
Everything – But not Mother.
Leon lost his mother when he was fifteen years of age. Leon’s Mother Nefeli (named as per the Greek mythology) was a wonderful woman of natural mannerism and good behavior. Although, being the house wife, she did much more than that. Most of the success of her husband’s political career and good name should be given to her. Despite, being a simple homemaker, she was more than that. She helped and encouraged her husband to build a very systematic government. She was the personal advisor, mentor and simply the ‘Inspiration’ of Lasonas – the present prime minister of Greece.
However, she did not live long enough to see the continual ongoing success (or perhaps misfortune!) of her family. She was diagnosed with lung Cancer. Although she never smoked or indulged herself in any such activities causing lung cancer, she was to have that malignancy. She or her family never knew or expected it. It was diagnosed in the last stage (fourth stage). When she started complaining of body pain under her lower body, Lasonas brought all the great doctors of the world. Soon they learned about her advanced lung cancer through multiple scanning and two autopsies (collected from her internal organ tissue) of some of her living cells in her body. The expert doctors predicted her to live only three months maximum. In spite of Leon being just being a teen and his father Lasonas (an acting Prime Minister – in his first tenure!), the two of did all they could to save her life. Both young boy and his father cared Nefeli and prolonged the inevitable death for two more years. Leon, the teen boy treated his own mother like his child and did all the nursing without any hesitation.
But then, the fate has its own way and it did take the life of Nefeli in her own bed room and in her own home. The whole nation shed sorrow tears about the early dismiss of the simple, yet great woman of modern Greece of that period. The life did move on to Leon and Lasonas. Soon, after another two years, Lasonas again won the heart of Greece people and became the Prime minister again for second term. Leon continued to do well in acting and sports and gained utter popularity.
Just when Leon entered nineteen years, he joined the military academy as serving in military was one of his passions. He did well there too and eagerly participated in the entire training program. Regardless, his was (is!) to have a great misfortune there too. While in a tough hard training, Leon fell of a high peeking mountain and later, with great difficulty, his body was discovered.
Lasonas and his two kid daughters had a great shock again to face. They did well enough to hold on. And with one quick new inspiration, Lasonas decided to cryo-preserve his son’s body, in case if there is a (!!) a future to him at all. Hence, Leon was cryopreserved and kept on hold. Little did Lasonas or his young daughters knew that Leon, their great son and elder brother was to be the real lion of the much advanced futuristic society by name Gorbs. Little did they know that their own blood would play a very important part in saving the advanced world of future.
