Raven’s POV Of course, I couldn’t tell my grandmother that I didn’t think that my mother was crazy, because I had seen the same thing she had. Then again, maybe both of us were crazy, and this was some kind of genetic mental illness that made us see things that weren’t real, after suffering trauma. Ethan’s death could have brought it forward, just like my parents’ deaths had brought it on for me, but my mother seemed to have overcome her illness by leaving here. I don’t remember her ever being paranoid or sick, nor do I remember her ever taking medication, leading me to believe that she had somehow overcome whatever this was that we both obviously have.
