Cash’s POV The doctors had ruled Ms. Wilson’s diagnosis as a heart attack, but I wasn’t convinced it naturally came on, as the Alpha rogue’s scent lingered more potent in the air at her house than anywhere else in our territory. Thankfully, Raven had calmed down once her grandmother was in stable condition, and as she sat at her grandmother’s bedside in the ICU unit, waiting for her grandmother to be transferred to her own room, I excused myself to try and get in touch with someone back home. Unfortunately, the wolfsbane or what the pack doctor was giving my brothers hindered any kind of communication between us. It was the first time in eighteen years that I couldn’t sense them or feel that they were close by, and to be honest, I hated it, because I felt like a part of me was missing.
