Honestly, I thought Raven was going to run for the hills when she saw Chance’s wolf, and to be honest, I couldn’t blame her. But I couldn’t be the heartless asshole they all thought that I was, allowing her to slide right past me, without stepping in and giving her the little boost that she needed to see the real person behind the wolf.
When I watched her finally lower herself before him and begin to interact with both his wolf and Cash’s wolf, I knew that I had fulfilled my duty here to my father, for my punishment for what happened back on the ranch. However, it was a punishment that I didn’t believe that I deserved in the first place, as I had saved all their asses with Cash’s little temper tantrum.
