"Rosie," Kate says, wiping the tears rolling down my cheeks as I sit up, "Don't cry, Lee will be found soon."
"What's wrong with me? Mateo was right, I can do anything without messing up," I snuffle and Kate moves forward on the bed to wrap her arms around me.
"It's not your fault," she says, running her fingers through the curls of my hair, "It was a circumstance beyond your control. Perhaps it would have been even worse had you not left the hotel."
"Mateo is so mad at me, Kate," I cry.
