MATEO "How long have you been friends, you and Liam?" Roseline asks as I tuck her into bed. I examine the swelling on her forehead and see that it doesn't look as bad as it did before, "We grew up together in Italy." She nods as if thinking about the next question to ask. "You are totally different people," she says, placing her head on my chest when I get under the sheets. "In what way?" I ask. "Nevermind," she says and I feel a twinge of jealousy because it's obvious that she was going to praise Liam. Growing up, people compared the two of us and he scooped better positions in almost every comparison. Roseline falls asleep and like every other time I lie next to her, I fall asleep without even trying. I lazily pull Roseline back as she stirs awake trying to get out of my embrace
