I lazily turned around and only to see the man I had been running from. I was horrified to see him. " Harlan Winter!" He was laying on the bed... sleeping or maybe unconscious... I moved towards him to see if he was alright. He was laying half- naked and His Arms Are Tatted Up, Half Sleeves To His Elbows hanging down on his bed. I outstretched my hand to hold his arm and placed back on the bed for several mint's I was just staring at his face... thinking that he is really handsome. His eyebrow is missing a ring it must have lost in the accident. Dark blue eyes, dark brown hair, sharp jawline strong,lean Frame. Gorgeous...Dangerous...Terrifying…Horrible... I realised that I was inspecting him so closely and decided to get out of there but As I was about to go out. He grunt's making me look back at him again. I noticed the grimace across his face. He's probably still in pain, despite being sedated and loaded with painkillers.There's a robotic centre inked over it and I can tell it's important because it has so many tubes, cords and wires attached to its many ports. Tattoos like these are the reason it's a beautiful art, more than just branding. Suddenly a sharp pain cuts through my thoughts, a hand that grips my arm and squeezes too tight. It's Harlan. "If he didn't just sustain life-threatening injuries, I would punch him just so he'd let go." I thought. " Let me go! The statement is groaned out and he looks at my face as if to register that I'm truly hurt, but he didn't let me go. He pulled me even closer to him. His eyes are so intense I want to look away . . . or never look away, I can’t decide.I peek up at his features, at the crooked grin I want to savour, at the colour in his eyes I'd use to paint a million pictures. I look away in the other direction because I don't want to stare his beautiful blue eyes. When I turn around, he cups my face in his hand and he kisses me so deeply that I don't know who is breathing for who, but his mouth and tongue taste like warm honey. I don't know how long it lasted, but when I let go of him, he again pulled me in another kiss. The touch of his lips on mine was featherlight, tentative, uncertain. I closed my eyes as the kiss sent a thrill through my body, until it felt like my hair was standing on end, like my whole body was a live wire, humming with electricity. A week Ago It was just a bright beautiful Sunday morning, I was sitting in my backyard on the lawn chair, in my hand I have binocular. I was birdwatching, The layer covering atmosphere had an aura of brightness as the light flickered through it and reached the surface of Earth,making it a bit scorching. The sun finding its way from horizon to the summit of sky pierced it's lucid sunlight to the people which made their faces plastered with an eeire glow, I squinting eyes when took my binocular and again look through the it again and my eyes landed on the backyard across the bay. " What are you looking at? I jumped at the sound of Aunt Elaina voice and put my binoculars down momentarily. " Did you know we have new neighbours across the bay? " Well, I saw some flashing lights coming from the house the other night. Figured someone finally moved in." Aunt Elaina said. " You didn't even need a binocula to know that." " What do I say? she shrugged. We lived on the louisiana Grand Isle.Aside from the house next door, the only other residence in the vicinity was a sprawling estate across the small body of water that separated our land from theirs.You'd have to take a boat to get to it-either that or be a really good swimmer. The house had been vacant for several months, but now Someone had either bought it or was renting it. " Do you know anything about them? " Why would I? " Because you've obviously been spying." I cleared my throat... " I was birdwatching and happened to notice them and they are two of them. They might be gay." " And how would you know that? " Well, they're both extremely good-looking and many of the ones who look like that tend to be gay. It's not fair. " The wind blew aunt Elaina cardigan as she grabbed the binoculars from me and lifted them on her eyes. She laughed after a moment. " Wow. Well, I can certainly see why you've suddenly taken sudden, liking into... birdwatching." Aunt Elaina returned my binoculars and winked before she walked back inside of the house, leaving me alone to resume watching the new inhabitants but this time when I looked, I saw something which I definitely did not mean to see. One of the men must be gone inside of the house because the other one was now alone. He'd moved from his previous spot and was now butt naked under an outdoor shower. My mouth dropped... I should've looked away but my eyes were lingerie on his bronze body. The water fell over him like a waterfall down on the mountain of carved stone. I feel awful for staring, but honestly..who showers in front of the neighbours? Although, in his defence, he probably think he is alone.The only house facing the back of theirs was mine.He likely never imagined someone as far away as me would be watching him. My guilt finally caught up with me. I put the binoculars down and took a long sip of my lemon water.Maybe I need to pour it over my head instead.Trying to concentrate on anything other than the peep show across the bay, I picked up my phone and began to texting my trusty friend Brook. " Where are you? Are you still at the hospital? I texted her. She replied me after a short moment. " Yeah, I'm still in hospital and I'm the only duty doctor present at the hospital... Dr, Hale is coming then I'll go home." I read her text and sighed. " Do you remember? we have a movie night tonight so don't be late." I texted her. " We can't do movies tonight" she replied over a text. " Why can't we? I texted her annoyed because we make planned a week ago and she is ditching me last moment. " I'll see you at night then I'll tell you and gotta go bye." she replied me and leaving me in a state of turmoil but whatever she is coming tonight before long, curiosity took over.Maybe it's safe to look back now.But deep down, I didn't expect to be safe at all.Lifting my binoculars to my eyes, I continued my birdwatching.When I moved my head to follow an American robin, my gaze accidently landed back at the backyard of our new neighbors.Staring back at me was the other guy-with binoculars of his own. He'd been watching me watching his friend. " Oh, no... Then, to my horror, he waved,Flashing a snide smile. " What do I do?" These guys know where I lived, and i'd likely run into them around town. I can't hide forever.I can't handle this embarrassment right now.I turned and rushed into the house.Despite ruminating about what had happened outside, I forced myself to focus on the sorting out some papers the next couple of hours. I checked the time and it was almost evening. I left the room to make coffee for myself. I went into the living room where aunt Elaina was sitting on the couch looking through her laptop. " Aunt, I'm making coffee. Do you want some? She closed her laptop and placed it on coffee table. " Of course, I'll have a nice cup of black coffee." I nodded and made my way into the kitchen and made two cup of black coffee and took out some cookies in the serving plate and brought it to the aunt and handed him the cup. I also took mine and slammed back on the couch. We were both silent for a moment but then Aunt start speaking. " Annie, Did you call your Dad? I rolled my eyes because I knew where this conversation was going. Well, I don't have one of the best relationships with my Dad because he abundant me after my mother passed away. it was the love at first sight for both of them and they got married after six months of dating but after mother dies Dad lost his passion and love for everything he abundant everything that was connect to mother and the most special person to mother to was me. He never wanted to see me or be part of my life or even spending time with me because I reminded him of mother but what was my fault in it? What did I do wrong? Why I suffered? I never got his love. He married to rich women and start living with her Completely kicking me out of his life but luckily, I have a wonderful auntie Elaina. Aunt's husband died six years ago and we were like needed for each others in the difficult time. Aunt's late husband owned small cafe. Aunt run it now and because of her I finished my medical school and became a diem nurse. Recently, my father remembered me all of a sudden that I exist and he wanna be the part of my life after all these years. I don't want him to be part of my life. I hate people like him and I swore to not date a rich man in my life. " Nope, I didn't call him nor I wanted too." " Annie what's wrong with a call? He is your Dad." " Did he talk to you aunt? don't lie to me." " Of course, he did what else he is gonna do? if her daughter doesn't want to talk to him." " Seriously! I am not pushing you to forgive him and forget about everything but at least you can give him a chance to fix everything... maybe he is feeling guilty." Aunt paused and I thought, as much as I wanna to give him a chance my heart doesn't want too. Suddenly, the doorbell rang and my aunt got up to open the door. I glance over on my wrist watch. " Isn't it too early for Brook to come." " Annie, you might wanna come over here. "Aunt call me. " Oh my god! Could that be my new neighbour! Oh no, what do I do? I can't go out and face him. I should hide maybe... oh no, how long I'm going to hide? s**t! f**k me! " Annie, come here! quickly You have a delivery." Aunt call me. " Something came for me?? I thought and sighed with relief because thank God, He wasn't my new neighbour or I will dig a hole in the ground and bury myself alive in embarrassment.
